Wise advice Well you can't just think about him either. If a relationship doesn't bring you any happiness, in the end it'll always do more harm than good. I think you've been trying hard too, the rest is up to him. You know that if he really won't trust you you're not the one who should suffer because of it, supporting him is one thing but making yourself sad so he can be happy is another thing. I know personally that you're an awesome and super supportive friend so I have no doubt that you've been there for him when he needed someone. If he wants to make his life better or not is his decision, besides being there for him there's not much you can do to prove to him that you can be trusted.
I should stop thinking about this, I might start to jump to conclusions.
