Chapter 2
Hi everyone, my name is Neko Shiyounin, but my friends call me Kitty since my name means "cat" in Japanese. I'm 15 years old and I was born in a village outside of Kyoto, Japan. I'm the most hated person in my village because I'm not like other people, I'm a dragon/human half-breed. Everyday since the day I was born, I was always looked at with eyes of hatred, I lost my parents and my older brother long time ago. I thought my life would be a miserable one, but thankfully I was wrong. With my guardian Ryuna and my 2 best friends Sentaro and Ryokamaru by my side, I was always happy and felt like my life had meaning. But there is something I must confess, I have done something unforgivable.
It all happened 5 years ago when I was 10 years old, almost every morning a group of boys would tease me and bully me around.
Boy: scream Get out of town you freak! You don't belong here! *kicking Kitty while she was down on the ground*
Kitty: *screaming in tears* Stop it! Leave me alone! gonk
But whenever that happened, she always came to save me.
Chita: *shoots her gun up in the air, getting their attention* Hey guys, why don't you pick on someone your own size?
Kitty: *gasp* surprised Chita-neechan!
Boy: eek Oh s**t! She'll kick our a**. Let's get out of here! *they run away*
Chita: Tsk, losers.... stare
Kitty: Thanks Neechan. blaugh
Chita: No problem Neko-chan. wink
Chita Shiyounin was my cousin and the only person who called me by my real name. She's a year older than me and is one of the most talented and most beautiful girls in the village. She specialized in wood and summoning magic and was an expert on guns. Her accuracy's amazing and has never missed a target in her life. To me, she was one of the greatest people in the world.... well, besides Ryuna of course. blaugh
Chita: So Neko, how are your friends?
Kitty: Well Sentaro's still a big meanie and Ryo stole a barrel of apples this morning.
Chita: Hm, interesting. So is there any chance my cousin might get together with one of them? blaugh
Kitty: eek What?! No way! *shakes her head* Besides, we're just friends.
Chita: Yea, sure. *smirks*
Kitty: Hey Neechan... thanks again for saving me.
Chita: Hey, no problem. That's what families do, we look out for each other. wink
She truly was a great person. We were closer than any blood sister out there. We always believed we'd be together forever, but then one night those bonds were about to be broken.
Kitty: *hurrying back to her house* Can't wait to see the look on Chita's face when I show her this beautiful bouquet of flowers. 4laugh
Man's voice: What's a monster like you, doing here in the vilage?
Kitty: Huh? *looks around* Hey mister, I'm no monster, I'm just like everyone else! Now if you'll excuse me, I got some place to go. *runs off*
Man's voice: What makes you so sure that those people who you call family, really truly care for you?
Kitty: *stops* Huh? What do you mean?
Man's voice: What if those people were in reality afraid and were pretending to like you so that in the future you won't have a reason to hurt them?
Kitty: What?!
Man's voice: Or better yet, what if were pretending to care for you so that one day you'll let your guard down and they can finish you off?
Kitty: Stop it! *breaks in tears* cry They'd never do that to me.
Man's voice: Face the facts, you're a monster, a freak of nature. There is no place in this world for you and no one in this world who'll care for you.
Kitty: Shut up, SHUT UP! *eyes glow red, black aura engulfs her* RAAAHHH!!!! evil
I couldn't really remember much what happened during that time, but I did remember what happened after I regained control of myself. I remembered seeing almost half the village destroyed and a lot of dead people on the ground. Later on, I saw a figure through the smoke, it was my cousin Chita, looking at me with a face of fear, and right beside her were the dead bodies of her parents, my aunt and uncle. It took me a while to realize that it was me that did all this, because I couldn't control myself. I have never been so horrified and ashamed of myself in my life.
Kitty: *in tears, approaching her* cry Neechan, I-
Chita: *takes out her gun* Don't you dare take another step! scream *angry with tears streaming down her face*
Kitty: Chita, I'm sorry! crying I couldn't control my emotions, I didn't mean for any of this to happen.
Chita: Shut your damn trap! .... I'll never forgive you for this and I'll never forget what you have done! *runs off*
She left the village the day after the incident and I never saw her again. For the past 5 years, I've been hoping, praying that someday she'd come home, but more importantly, I'd been hoping that she'd find it in her heart to forgive me.
