All kinds of people tell me that emo is a genre or music/music interest, a clothing choice, opinions on life, your depression factor, they cut them self’s… that kinda crap and quite frankly… I still don’t get it. A lot of people now have depression and do need an anti-depressant… does that make them emo? Some people cut them selfs, does that make them emo? People who listen to heavy metal, screamo, hard rock and so fourth are they emo? Or… are they human? Personally, I don’t believe in the stereotype… they happen, but, hey who is perfect. And that is my point. Why point out so many damn flaws? Honestly. I don’t get it. Oh! They cut them self’s and listen to *insert name of emo band here* so, there emo. Hahaha! Sound familiar? *shakes head* I just think their scared, lonely, or afraid. Everyone and I mean everyone has had a hard time in their life; no one has had it easy. Everyone feels low and unwanted at times. However, in my own personal belief there are people who can’t quite handle all that too well. Some of them… most of them want to feel loved and cared for, and who doesn’t? Those few people who are depressed and stress and feel uncared for, all they need is a hug. Maybe not all the time, but, hey, a hug and a kind smile can really lift someone’s sprits. A little kindness can go a long way. But, why is kindness so hard to come by? Kindness and warmth seem to be scares today. Those emotions appear to hurt when given, or when given are taken falsely. People seem to mean less and less as to what they have to say. And it makes so since to me… then again, a lot doesn’t. Anyways, why is kindness so hard, huh? I do understand that pain is easy to come by, so is hate, and anger, but, people treat kindness as if a poison. Like, it would kill you just to ask, “Are you okay?” or “Can I help?” but, whatever. Now a days people seem to have such a damn ego. All you need is money, looks, and a million dollar smile and quite frankly, you get anything and everything you could ever want. But what about those people who have to work hard for everything, those people who feel unappreciated and who have to earn everything they want and desire? They don’t get anything, no recognition, no wealth, no… glory… all they get is a, “Well, if you would have looked like *insert pretty girl here* you could have made it.” or “I’m sorry, but, you’re now what we’re looking for…” its… its SICK. That’s all it is. All of this is sick… the stereotypes, the unfeeling, the comparison. Its just revolting.
