As my second post I wanted to deal with something that has been bothering me.
So I was able to watch Micheal Moore's SICKO last night/this morning. This got me to thinking, how can Americans live without proper health care?
Being a Canadian, I sometimes take my free heath care for granted, but people complain, big deal. So what if I had to wait two hours in the ER, it was 2am and most of the professionals were probably done for the night. At least I didn't end up being dropped off in some remote part of my city because I had no insurance and the hospital didn't want to deal with me. At least I don't have to live with chronic pain. At least I'm not homeless because I had to give up everything to get well.
I do agree that our system can be improved, but all we need to do is follow the example of our European counterparts. Look at France. They didn't like the way they were being treated, so they brought out the guillotine. Now look at them! They riot and protest for everything AND THEY GET IT!
I think this would work for the Canadian and American public. Go and riot. Stir s**t up in the masses and you will cause change. If things get bad enough, I would like to think that people would be willing to stand up for not only themselves, but for their neighbors as well.
