I’m like an abandoned puppy,
Left out in the cold
Sad and scared
And all alone.
Watching cars zoom by,
Too depressed to cry.
Howling at night,
Grieving for you.
Many see me
On the street
Talking excitedly,
Shuffling their feet.
Wanting to take away
My loneliness,
My pain.
They don’t know how,
So they walk away.
