Today is Monday and a holyday, specifically its presidents day. So aside from myself at home, I have my two siblings with me. One brother and one little sister. Of course father had to go to work, but he came for lunch.
My brother and I prepared lunch, my sister didn't. Instead of having her helping us, she refused. So we all settled that she should clean up after us. I am quite knowv for leaving big spills and disasters when i finish cooking. So, at the end she had a whole lot of things to clean by herself.
It's been months since I have cooked this way. I enjoyed it with my brother, because we worked together for the same common goal. Unfortunately, I doubt I could emphasized my whole enthusiam for this to anyone who is reading this. Even much less make a connection with style of life. The mayority of people now a days don't make lunch together in their own families. Rather than having such a harmony, the fast food replace that or frozen food. If a family can't share the essentials, it won't change with the rest of their lives. Sometimes I have seen families so alienated from themselves...so much that I realise that how much I care for my own household.
Well, this is longer than I expected. This was just suppose to be an entry about food; just food. To sum it up, we made more than we expected we could eat. There was so much pasta that we didn't even touch the salad nor the boiled broccoli (well, the broccoli wasn't boiled long enough. It had to be boiled again according to father). Then at the end of lunch, there is a boundtiful of surplus of food that it seems it would last for three more days for lunch. Now that's just for the salad, I didn't even bother to think how long the broccoli and salad would last for us. Sometimes I forget that we are just four people in the household. I am accustomed to cook plenty of things when I have guests.
