I have been pondering “normal” and “perfect” for a long time. I laid down on my bed last night and started to come a realization… those words are a stereotypical. I hate the words “Normal” and “Perfect” their just as mythological as Hercules, Unicorns, and world peace.
What is Perfection? Living up to someone else’s standards? Following a simple trend for the rest of your life? Being a Barbie-Doll follower? Apparently so. Almost everyone seems to be living to a stereotype. “Oh! I have to look like Tyra Banks to be Pretty!” “Oh! Chris Brown is hot and he gets all that girls. He is perfect.” “Jessica Simpson’s body is perfect!” “She is so this—“ “He is so that—“ that’s all we here now right? Let us see what the definition of perfect is:
per•fect pur-fikt; per-fekt
1) Conforming absolutely to the description or definition of an ideal type 2) Excellent or complete beyond practical or theoretical improvement 3) accurate, exact, or correct in every detail
So, Perfection is a very bland, identical, theoretical, exact improvement in every detail? Pardon me? So is the government trying to tell us that anything bland, identical, an exact improvement in theory is perfection? Well then I do not fit that label.
Honestly, I think perfection is how you choose to name yourself. You’re not fat unless you allow yourself to believe you are, your not ugly unless you allow yourself believe so, your not stupid unless you allow yourself to believe you are. Perfection is confidence in who you are and what you believe in. Perfection isn’t what you don’t believe in. Perfection has its own definition for almost everyone. Now, you don’t have to go around flaunting your own perfection because you have to be proud of it not make others hate you.
Normal. Normal. Normal. Normal. There is no thing such as NORMAL in my book. Please, give me a break people. Honestly, I would rather be called insane, crazy, or a fool rather than “Normal” Ew. That word leaves a nasty taste in my mouth. You see if I am called crazy or insane frankly, I think that means that I’m slightly smart, and I have something going for me. In this day and age I take “Crazy” as a compliment that’s like telling me my eyes are pretty or… I’m good company. Thank you. Thank you to all those who think I’m mad. If people are making you feel crazy or insane odds are your probably pretty smart yourself. If you’re gonna question things and ask “What if--?” “Why—?” or “How—?“ you know what, good for you. Normal (like prefect) was made to help people question who they are, you’re always gonna hear: “Is that weird?” “Was that wrong?” No Hunny, don’t question yourself. Let me just say who ever created the words “normal” and “perfect” they were a real a**. There are how many people in this world? Over a billion, right? How can perfect or normal exist with out individuality coming into the mix of things huh?
Let us take a quick look at its definition, shall we?
nor•mal [nawr-muh l]
1) conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural 2) free from any mental disorder; sane
So basically the definition of “Normal” is conforming to a standard, common, usual, free from mental disorder you’re sane. So basically it’s saying if you go along with the crowd your free from mental illness. Nice. Very nice. *gag*
Oh please darling… you know what to all who think they don’t fit in you know what you keep sticking out! Don’t you dare allow people to make you feel less than whom and what you are. You define yourself not anyone else.
