Night rolled over the air. And a teenage girl, Alena, was sitting by her window. It was raining and pitch black. The darkness crept over her street. She was sad because her friend couldn't visit for the next 8 weeks. And she was upset also because she was grounded and had nothing to do. She picked up and red pencil from the floor and started drawing on the window shelf.
"Stop that Alena!" her mothers voice shreaked out. She looked back at her mom in the hallway. She had been watching her.
"I know your bored Alena, but you cannot draw on that. Tell me you can erase it."
"I can." She flipped her pencil in her hand and erased the doodle on the shelf. She rubbed so hard it scraped a little paint.
"Thank you Alena, I have some art paper if you want."
"No thanks mom, but thanks for asking."
Her mother nodded sadly and walked out of the room partially closing the door. Alena turned her self back to the window and began to draw on the windowshelf again. She drew a dragon and a turtle. Then she stopped and erased them. She dropped the pencil on the floor and got up to go to her closet. When she opened the door. She saw a sleeping dragon, a sleeping turtle, and a pile of lines. All red.
