Chapter 2 Kitty's Little Secret and her First Duel
The final bell, school's over, it was time to go home. Yugi and his friends were waiting for Kitty outside the school.
Kitty: (rushes outside, panting) Sorry I'm late. I was busy, finishing up my guitar lessons.
Yugi: (smiles) Don't worry about it.
Joey: C'mon, lets go to your place now!
Kitty: (nods) Uh-Huh! ^^
(They walk to Kitty's house)
Tea: So, what kind of family do you have?
Kitty: Well y'know, a normal family. I live with my father and 2 older brothers.
Tristan: What about your mom?
Kitty: She passed away when I was eight.
Tristan: Oh, I'm sorry.
Kitty: S'ok. Hey, look there's my house!
Joey: Oh cool! It's a dojo. Kinda like in those martial art movies.
Yugi: So I'm guessing your family likes to practice self-defense, huh?
Kitty: Yup!
Bakura: I'm sure you're quite a skilled fighter.
Kitty: (giggles nervously, blushes a bit) Well I'm ok, but I'm not as good as my father or my brothers.
Joey: Do ya think you can show us some of your martial art moves sometime?
Kitty: Sure! Well come on in!
(they go inside house, it's decorated with ninja weapons)
Joey and Tristan: Whoa! Cool weapons!
Kitty: Thanks! Just be careful not to touch them ok?
Tea: Are any of these yours?
Kitty: Just one (points to a katana) That one's mine.
Yugi: Awesome!
Kitty: I'm gonna bring some snacks, be right back. (goes to kitchen)
Joey: All right, food!
Tea: Hey, Bakura?
Bakura: Hm?
Tea: Haven't you noticed that everytime Kitty talks to you, she's all nervous and blushing?
Bakura: Really?
Joey: (snickers a bit) Looks like someone has a crush on you!
Bakura: Huh? (blushes a bit)
Tea: So do you like her back? ^^
Bakura: W-W-Well, she is a sweet person, and she is kinda cute....... ^^;;
Tristan: So you do like her back.
Bakura: (laughs nervously) I guess you can say that.
Kitty: (comes in) Hey guys, I'm back. I brought tons of snacks. Chips, soda, candy, cookies, tons of stuff!
Joey and Tristan: All right! Lets eat!
Kitty: Hey! You guys better not eat all my candy!
Tea: (sigh) Those guys will do anything for food. -_-;;
Kitty: (giggles) Hey Yugi, I brought my Duel Monsters deck, can you check it out to see if I'm ready to duel?
Yugi: Sure. (checks deck) Well, there's no problem with it. Looks like you're good to go.
Kitty: Really? Yay! Hey Joey, I hope it's not much trouble but is it ok if you and I dueled?
Joey: Sure! But I won't go easy on ya!
Kitty: And neither will I!
(minutes have passed, both Joey and Kitty have 100 lifepoints left)
Joey: It's your move Kitty! Why don't you just give up? None of your monsters can beat my Red-Eyes Black Dragon.
Kitty: Hmmm..... (places card on mat) I play Gemini Elf in attack mode.
Joey: What? But your elf's got 1900 attack points, while my dragon has 2400.
Kitty: True, but not if I play this magic card, Malevolent Nuzzler, which gives my monster 700 extra AP. Which means you lose and I win! XD
Joey: WHAT?! NO WAY!!!
Kitty: Yay!
Yugi: Way to go Kitty!
Joey: Oh well, great duel!
Kitty: Yea! ^o^
Tea: Guys, it's getting late, we probably should go home now.
Yugi: You're right, well guess it's time to go, see ya tomorrow Kitty!
Kitty: Bye guys!
Joey and Tristan: See ya!
Bakura: Good bye!
Kitty: (blushing) Um.... Bakura-kun!
Bakura: Hm? What is it Kitty?
Kitty: Um.... I made this box lunch for you. (gives box to him)
Bakura: Oh thank you. (as soon as he was gonna take the box, he feels a sharp pain in his chest) Ngh!
Kitty: Oh! Are you ok?
Bakura: Yeah, I'm fine. (takes box) Anyways, see you tomorrow! (leaves)
Kitty: K bye! What just happened there?
