Keirae looked to the full moon. the demon lord of the mainland would be strongest this night. her father was to set out soon. Keirae lie her head on the bed in her room, thinking furiously about the burden that was lay upon her. if her father died she would have to take control of the war. not to mention her pregnate mother. suddenly she heard a scream from her mothers room. Keirae shot up and ran in
"MOTHER WHATS WRONG?" keirae asked, OniKasai in hand. her mother was lying on the floor. "MOM!"
"calm down keirae." she told her cub "its just the baby. i think its time. im getting the same pain i got when i had you." Keirae grinned
"ill go get papa." she started off when her mother stopped her
"no your father is going to war." Keirae helped her to the bed "get a servant ok? that will do." Keirae nodded and ran off

Keirae paced. it had been 4 hours and she still heard screaming from her mother. the maid who was delivering the baby said she wouldnt make it through the night. her brother Shotai walked the grounds so nobody would try to steal the child. Shotai never approved Keiraes mother but protected her and his sister with his life. the maid walked out, tears to her eyes.
"Uh... i have some bad news... im afraid i was right..." Keirae sat down "the baby is fine and ill keep you secret if the clan dosn't find out first."
"wh-what secret?" the Maid sighed
"Keirae you have a baby brother... hes a half demon... your mother was having an affair apparently and... im so sorry..."
