They say they love each other but it just turns into a one-night stand. They use each other to gain popularity, or just for sex. What is "love" really? Is it just a "glittery" feeling you get when you are with them? Or more... What does it mean to truly love a person.
Most highschool relationships don't last long.. Is it due to a lack of maturity? Are they just dating to seem "cool"? Do they even like each other? So many questions, and not enough answers...
Some say love is when you can't live without the person. It's true in a sense~
There are so many things I'm pondering right now.. Such as opposites attract.. They supposedly "complete" each other... but in the long run it leads to confrontation and possibly the end of the relationship
At the moment I still don't know what love is. I'd be naive to think so. I don't think there's a single soul who truly knows what love is. But here are my thoughts.. Love is..damn near indescribeable. It's one of those things you know it when it happens. The person you truly love is very important to you. (They kinda hafta lol) You truly can't live without them. (Historically proven. some famous people died after the loss of their spouse) You miss them so much when they aren't around. You want to be with them whenever you can. Constantly thinking and dreaming of them, you always talk about them (much to the dismay of your friends..) You've raped their ears, but they may talk about something to no end themselves so..payback? :] But I digress, it is still much more than that. (This is what love is to me of course so you may feel differently) Looks shouldn't be a factor of love. In the end we are all going to be old and ugly anyway.. The person's personality (kinda a mouthful =P) is..well could be similar could be different, but, where there are differences, it shouldn't be to the point where it will cause serious problems. Everyone is different (because we....are all like snowflakes~ lol! couldn't resist x]) a little differences here and there shouldn't bother you.. (hey no one is perfect so throw out the damn list you have XD) Well I think I've rambled enough for now. Basically...in the simplest terms.. love cannot be defined by a couple of words alone. But the person is someone we feel we don't deserve.
So why do people say it when they don't mean it? Immaturity? "Habit"? Why?
It's stupid yet some do it anyway. There's a thin line..between love and hate. But that's a whole nother story =P But seriously.. There is a thin line between love and lust. What we may perceive as love is usually lust.
Teenagers really in love? Some highschool relationships last.. Such is the case with some of our parents. It becomes rarer and rarer as time goes bye (rarer is a word right..Well it's rare lol).
Am I truly in love? I believe I may be on the right path to that. I can easily crush on another guy but Nick is the one I want to always be with. Nick is so..amazing. He's nice, funny..He's not the smartest person in the world, but he is a wonderful man. I feel that I don't deserve him..There's nothing special about me. All my skills are average, and even my looks are average. But he still likes me..no.. He says he loves me, in the "you're the only one for me" way.
Well I'm tired and can't think at the moment.. It was 11:26 pm when I wrote this sentence. I'm just posting this on gaia now. I wrote it on paper because I was about to sleep but I was thinking about this. It started with that poem-y thingy and it led to this xP (I'm definately no poet so it was..yea..just a...blob of thoughts XD lol)
