Update... after 2 postponments, we are suppose to finally go to court today, 4/15 @ 11:30. Supposedly it is suppose to just be a review by DHS to see if they are making progress, but the paperwork my lawyer got tonight was demanding that I turn Nick/Nehru over to the authorities and if I don't I face being arrested again until I give him up. Also the DHS has stated that since Nick/Nehru is such a "bad" influence on the family and is causing "all" the family problems, they recommend that he be placed in a juvenile detention facility along with kids that have committed crimes, murder, drugs, abuse/violence, etc until he is 18 yrs old. I absolutely cannot see the reason for this. My "court appointed Lawyer" says that he has no idea how to deal with this case, it is outside his realm of knowledge and ability. So basically I'm having to go in and defend the kids myself. If I do not post in here within 24 hours, it means they have me in jail again because my kids ran away from the abuse. Wish me luck everyone.
On my way to the court hearing, I will attempt to make some phone calls, since I was given some names as a reference that might help. A few weeks ago, a young (17yr old) set her house on fire and it killed her half brother and half sister. She was attempting to kill her stepfather, but he escaped and the kids did not. It has come out that the mom is married to two different men at the same time and neither man is her bio father. Both men have been sexually abusing her and the mother knew about it and did nothing. Also supposedly one of the men the mother is married to is also her step brother. They are having the court hearings this week and the girl is only going to be sentenced to 1 1/2 yrs of time, and will be placed in the same juvenile facility they want to send nehru to. (I'm like "WTF" this girl commits murder and will have to serve less time then my son who has committed no crime except to run away from abuse and to save his own life) Anyhow, with all the publicity this case has generated, names have been dropped in the media of people that try to help kids in situations like that, so hopefully I can reach them before getting to court tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.
