Burlesque Queen
It was a moonlit night, The stars were bright, She was blinded by love.
In a slick car, She tried to go far, She was rushing,
She was waiting to see, The one she wanted to be. She was anxious.
All but only to find, Her love holding someone of a different kind. He was cheating.
In dread and despair, She tried to tell him that he wasn’t being fair, He was lying.
He tried to tell her that it had all been a mistake, That it had all been a bad dream that she needed to wake. She was suspicious.
She went to the strip joint She wanted to make a point, She wanted to prove him wrong.
She put on an out fit, mask and all, She wanted to break is heart and make him fall. She wanted revenge.
As blue as the sky, She glided into the room, looking like she was about to fly. She was beautiful.
He spotted her from afar, Her eyes brighter than any star, He was interested.
He came over, asked for a dance, He thought that he had seen romance, It was a lie.
He looked into her eyes, Thought he saw love, he was in for a surprise. Something was familiar.
She took off her mask, Revealing her task. He had fell for her trick.
Crying, the truth was revealed, Soon she stopped, her emotions sealed. She wanted death.
She took out a knife, Meaning to take a life. She stabbed him in the heart.
A fitting end She thought he was her friend. She thought they were something more.
Seeing the blood run down the blade, Her hate seemed to fade. She was beginning to regret.
She began to break, Even if he had been a fake. She still loved him.
She didn’t know what to do or who to tell, So she killed her self as well. She was finally at peace.
