I watch the DN anime unsubbed. I understand most of it, and what I don't understand, I can mostly look up in the manga. But I have no problem grasping the basic outline of what is said.

More than anything, I want to learn Japanese. But if I was going to learn, I'd have to transfer to a different high school... and it costed too much and my grades weren't high enough... crying

You don't really have to transfer schools or anything to learn Japanese. Most Japanese I know I have learned from Anime, Manga and Japanese Music. And I got a pretty wide understanding of what they say in anime and movies. It's the writing part I have issues with. xP

I watch it with the subs. I can understand some Japanese when people are talking....very....slowly.... But watching anime, I can't understand nothing but the occasional word or phrase.

I only know random words that don't really matter. And I can't read it worth crap either. I wish I could though crying My older sister does but I doubt she'll translate it seeing as she dislikes anime. *cries*

D; the explanations are just as confusing when translated and if I don't understand what they're saying I'll probably be like "Umm... WE CAUGHT YOU AND NOW WE'RE GONNA KEEEEEL YOU~~!!" o.o'''

I could watch it unsubbed but I'd have trouble understanding whats going on because my Japanese is poor because I'm self taught because my stupid school only teaches Spanish and I can't stand it...They force fed us Spanish throughout elementary back when it was cool, in middle school it's almost impossible to go without getting at least 1 semester of it. In high school, its required to take at least 1 year of it.

No, what she said was that she would have to transfer to another school to be able to attend that course.
I've been working some with translations myself. I've been translation the movie Oresama by Miyavi. There just simply wasn't ANY subs anywhere to be found of it and it seemed noone had translated it before. I've gotten past about half the movie somewhere around 30 minutes.
It's really hard to translate a normal movie. xP So much dialogs, and I'm sure I've made countless of errors if only mostly minimal but still errors. xP
