Conservative Parents Preventing Emo Fashion

Ok, everyone, I have pretty.....conservative parents, and they are not really happy with the emo/goth culture, but less happy with the fact I want to dress like the other people in the culture. I haven't told them that, of course, but, I don't think they'd let me. I need help! I need fashion advice to make me look emo, but.....subtlely, I guess.

If you can work, get a job.
Then use the money you make & but your own stuff.
If your parents complain tell them it's your money & you can spend it the way you want.

this might not be the best thing to do but it worked for me.

I try covering it up with a sweater if that doesnt work (im not sure if your talking about wearing it at home) but if you're just going out, be as sneaky as you can

My advice is the same as his. Your your own person, no one elses, not even your parents. I'm not saying to go against, but try and confront them with this, that you just don't feel right by wearing the clothes your wearing.

My friend (whose a guy) went against his parents (which are conservative aswell) and now his parents dont care, and they still love him.

Your parents should love you for who you are, not how you look.
