I am advertising my shop - the orochi keep (my gaia marketplace shop's title) here in the guild. I hope that this is the correct spot to do this in.
I have an olive matte green floor tile for 10000 as one thing you can buy. The reason I have something like that so high is so I can buy my own guild called "The Orochi Keep"

I doubt it also, but you never know. I am just really excited about getting a guild. I have a name for it, an idea for the look of the banner... I even know one member I am going to invite for sure.

If you don't have a solid idea and a few members ready to sign up and be active, you'd be better off not wasting the gold. Aren't there enough dead guilds out there without trying to build one more?
Also, if you're serious about making a guild, you should work harder to earn more gold. Pricing cheap items at several thousand times their value is not going to get you anywhere and just shows your lack of dedication.

The most likely thing that is going to happen with the items priced too high will be placed in my inventory. But, that is not a big deal. I have one for sure that will likely want to be in it, however, finding others will be difficult.
By the time I make the guild, I will have members that want to join.
I do have a solid idea of what I want my guild to be like. I will advertise that bit in a few. For now, however, I got some breakfast to eat.
But, thank you for the advise, For-Chan.

For my guild, I plan on calling it "The Orochi Keep". The entry fee is going to be 10 gold. For the main forum, I will have first, the introductions of Members and it will be an announcement. The second thread, and an announcement in my guild will be The rules of the guild. The third will be an announcement and it will be birthdays. The 4th thread will be a sticky and it will be a bump thread The 5th thread will be a sticky and it will be a say anything/spam thread. The 6th thread will be a sticky and it will be a suggestions thread. The 7th thread will be a normal thread, a roleplay where I will put another location for my Orochi steakhouse. The 8th thread will be another roleplay called The Land of the Orochi.
For subforums...
1. Art - post your pictures here 2. Contests - win stuff here and place your challenges here 3. The Legends of the Orochi - a record of the best members 4. The Orochi tribal leaders - Crew and above only 5. Orochi Studios - the roleplaying place made by members
After I set that up, then I will invite people. Yes, it will take a lot more gold than 20, 000, however, it will be a progressively growing guild, and I will allow the public invites so that people can see it as it is being created and if they want in, they can. I could use help at first when creating the subforums.
There is my plan for my own guild. So, do you think I am worthy for my own guild? If you do, let me know or simply send me a trade for a donation toward making my guild.
I have 7098 gold right now.

Wow, that's really well planned! I only have a guild because one of my friends got one, but then couldn't be bothered to go to the trouble of making all the subforums and things for a roleplaying guild. So she gave it to me, and I just made it into a hang out for me and my friends to talk about whatever we wanted without any interruption! 3nodding
Pretty soon the posts began to build up. heart

A guild with disorganization eventually leads to emptiness. Empress Dee's guild, it started out similar to yours, and it was booming. Now... now hardly anyone goes in it anymore. I show up there to check things out, like an officer, but usually no new posts are made.
I agree with what For-Chan Cookie said. If a guild isn't organized and planned from the start, then it is doomed to die.
Oh, empress dee organized her guild now, she is just waiting for new members to flock into her guild.
She did a lot of work to it. I saw it. It is a lot better than it was before.

You can not wait for flocking. When I first started this guild, I invited 500 users in one day.
Also a small guild, aka, fewer than 100 or so members id doomed to die if it has a subforum. It splits up activity, and only the most dedicated of members will check and be active in all the area's and that's just difficult to get now a days. The greatest mistake of a guild is to have to many subforums. I didn't add subforums to any of my guilds until I had at least 1000 members, and even than I only add a new one if it's absolutely necessary and if the guilds active.
Haha, The Yaoi Guild, (not my guild, Yami's). He's got 16000 members and is hella active. I talk to him on the phone a lot <3 He has the 6th most popular guild in all of Gaia, so, I had some good pointers.
I'm not saying it's not a good idea, but you need at least a few dozen solid members for an RP guild or it's going to be pretty boring. If you've only got like 10 people, it only takes 1 or 2 to drop out of the game to really ******** things up.
You should make a thread in the Guild Forum in the main Forum Area of gaia and advertise for you guild and get members there before you ever make a Guild. I had at least 100 members on board before I even bought the Guild (and I spent 60k on this guild because I wanted a guild with a low ID number, not a new guild with an ID of 234231, because ID number determines how high in the users guild list a guild is)
