So, I was planning on going to Projekt Revolution on August 5th in The Woodlands, TX. We almost had everything to buy the tickets and hotel room reservation and stuff. Then we found out at our venue...
No blankets, tarps, towels, umbrellas or lawn chairs. Lawn Chairs will NOT be sold at this event. No cameras, video or audio recording devices. No food or beverage. No bottles of any kind. No chains, spikes, or laser pointers. No Weapons. No signs. No purses, backpacks or bags of any kind. NO RE-ENTRY.
Now, most of that doesn't really matter. But with the way the weather has been going and because we'll be in the uncovered lawn...
1) No cover from rain 2) No cover from sun 3) Not enough money to buy water all afternoon in the scorching heat for everyone.
I don't know what to do. I was so looking forward to it. To the extent that I canceled any kind of special celebration for my 16th birthday (which is tomorrow) cause all the money was going toward the concert.
And my mom said we can't go cause it'll either be too hot and dehydrating or pouring.
It crushed me, though there's still the slightest chance I can convince her to allow us all to go anyway.
But I doubt she'll go for it.
Depressing and disappointing.

FXCK. YOU KIDDING? PRACTICALLY NO ANYTHING? That's so strict. I hope my venue for PR isn't that mean. :/ I'm so sorry about that though. D:
Are you sure that's true? Because that has to be the meanest venue I've heard of.

That has to be the most suckiest thing I have ever heard. Go complain to the people hosting the event.

^ I went to the website for my specific venue then looked up the Projekt Revolution event itself, cause what you can bring varies on the event. I tried to look up yours (July 25) for you, but it doesn't seem too restricted. Here, check it out here.

I guess it sucks you didn't know that, but the no chair/tarp/blanket rule is pretty standard for lawn seating. It helps stave off fights because then you have no way to claim a piece of lawn as only yours.

My mom says I should look for another concert to go to. Cause there's no way she'll bring me to that one.
But she doesn't understand, THIS is THE concert I've been waiting for. NOTHING is gonna be like this. Not for me, anyway.
But I'm screwed. Can't go. It's the no (water) bottles and beverages that really blew it. She won't allow us to all go without the promise of us being able to stay hydrated. Cause it's going to be all day and scorching. If the heat index around here is 110 now, supposedly, August is going to be much worse. And I can understand, but not even a consideration?
It'll be a while before I can just let it go, y'know.

Are you serious? That's really strickt.
At the MCR gig I went to June 30th at the Norwegian festival Hovefestival, we were allowed to bring most of that, except for recording devices, bottles, chains, spikes, laser pointers, weapons and that kind of stuff. They didn't say anything when I brought a bag, food and my camera. And they searched my bag.
Plus, they gave us lots of cups water. For free while we stood waiting (12 ******** hours) and during the show.
