Playing the games of course is one of the fastest and funest ways to make gold. Puzzles and Word Bump you can get items from as well as the gold. Towns are a good way as long as you make sure you shake down very tree bush and rock.

just an update on my avatar quest here
ive got all but the most expenisve items
fox tail
fox ears
and my favourite item winter fox mink
all these will cost around 25k in gold...
i currently saving for each item bit by bit smile
the next bit im saving for are my fox ears
ive saved 3031 gold towards them and they average around 9k smile
i will keep posting updates and thankyou for all teh comments smile
also word bump never seems to give gold or things :s always says not giving gold at the mo.... grrr i like that game too smile
