Okay. Rant time. I am sick to death of all this bull s**t. Yes people bull s**t; I am fed up of MCR fans getting a bad name.
But not because we are 'emo' or any of that crap...but because of delusional 14 year olds that play down the talent of a band by talking constant crap. This isn't a teenie thing....not really...this is the people who put up grandiose claim's of MCR saved my life, and I am only in it for the music and yet have things like 'OMMM I'M GER@RD W@Ys WiFE...OMMM GeT OVA IT!!!!1!1!!111' strewn out across their profiles and in their sigs...for a start most of them have beautiful talented partners who deserve a little more respect then that as we all seem to forget, when the guys are off the road it's their family and partners that give them meaning.
See I can cope with supposed 'teenies' the kids that just go 'lyk I ttly wanna do Gerald' because I know a) they are new to the band and can be taught! Or b) they will eventually go away. But what I cannot abide is the people who make claims as to how big a fan they are slag off teenie fans and then spend there time obsessing over Gerard's crotch...
However that is just one part of this rant! (Yes there is a lot more) see this stuff has been bothering me a while...but only now when tipped over the edge am I discussing it with the good people of the MCR guild.
Here are my three other main qualms. I will keep them brief as this rant is already dragging on.
In fact no...I'll add these and you can tell me your opinions and the opinions you have on what I have typed.
A) Going in to MCR 'hate' threads in an attempt to defend them but find your argument ruined by some moron, who cannot even be bothered to try and type properly. (In all seriousness, misspelling is fine...I know my spelling is awful but if you are going to be in a discussion ect you cannot type like this 'omg I lyk cnt belev u jst sid tht.' OR they make a valid point and mess it up by adding 'And Gerard/Frank/Mikey is hott
B) People who start threads about how much they love MCR and use the physical appearance of the members to back it up. (Yes I do find Gerard Way very attractive...No I don't use that factor to back up an argument...nor do I claim to be in any type of relationship with him....¬¬)
C) (This might annoy some of you and if so I apologise...but this is the only one I will apologise about...) The band has been there for a lot of us (me included) they have saved lives made us feel better and made us feel part of something. But they also encourage there fans to be expressive and opinionated...and yet it doesn’t seem to be happening 9/10 times we (and yes I have done it in the past) will instantly love something just because it has some sort of relation to the boys and the band. Let's all start to be constructive. If you love it then damn well say so (loud and proud) but don’t say it just because you think people will go 'oh my god...there the devil...stick 'em in a bag and kill them)
Sorry this is so long and kudos to anyone who read it, and I look forward to your comments. Please don't think this is an attempt at 'teenie bashing' or rule breaking because I really don't want it to be seen like that it's just I feel it's going a bit too far no and it really needs to stop before I lose my mind entirely!

i totally agree. i think fans should show respect to the band, they show respect to their fans after all
i actually went on a good thread turned hate thread recentally and was able to make the bashers realise everyone has a different taste in music but i know how annoying the ones with the hardheaded basher who won't take no for an answer are. it's quite frusturating at times and sometimes you just have to leave
xp man i hate wen people do that. I personally don't think you should like a band for their looks, you should like them for their music
i would post a reply to the third thing but it confuses me o.o so uh... huh? what did you say there?

I completely agree with you.
Just ignore hate threads. That's what I do.
I've always hated how some people like the band for their looks and not the music. But, I guess we'll have to get used to that. For every band, there is always someone who only likes them for their looks.
I'm confused by the third one too...
Are you saying that people abuse the "MCR saved my life" saying?

I agree. Of course I'm attracted to Gerard, ******** I'm attracted to them all, but it's not like it's the only thing I love about them. I could go on for ages about what they mean to me and why they're amazing. And "homg Gerard is teh sex" is pretty far down the list.

i spend time in hate threads of all sort backing up good music. MCR has to have the most.
and at one of the mcr concrets, gearad said this "YA hear what they say about us? Calling us emos. What the hell does that mean. Listen, if any one ever calls you emo, just think of tonight. Tonight no one is calling you emo".

Essentially what I meant was I am also sick of people who instant love something just to agree with the band. It gets frustrating because sometimes you think 'hang on it's not that good' but no one says it. Not everyone but most people seem to just go 'love it' instantly without considering it...it's just the band wants us to free thinking and creative so somtimes I think we should put up a balanced theory.
When I say that I don't mean slag them off.
Here is a kind of example.
The teenagers video...
This is a video that I really dislike, I love the song as I feel it really does apply to whats happening in the world today. But I feel the video has no point and no real meaning. I don't understand why they used cheerleaders in it. And I also don't think any video so far has lived up to those of revenge. I think thats a shame as they have made some truely amazing video's and I know they can do better.
If you still don't get it because I have phrased it badly then sorry!

I know someone who says that a lot, and yes, it can get very annoying. Especially since My Chem. saved my life when I was really depressed and suicidal and when I was mentally unstable.

I just stay out of MCR hate threads. sometimes people can make you feel ashamed to be a fan of a certin band, and i don't ever want to feel that way about mcr.

It's clever.
They are stereotyped as these preppy, happy, energectic girls. In the video, they're not. They put on gasmasks, "shoot" Gerard, and get the crowd more excited. Cheerleaders wouldn't help get a riot going. The took that stereotype and smashed it against the wall!
I do agree, that the video wasn't as good as I thought it would be.
But it was still pretty entertaining.
