I can respect some of Metallica's work, though, as a whole, I'm not much of a fan. I think their early work was truly innovative for the age in which it was released, and Metallica (arguable) did more than any other band to bring metal back to it's roots. However, they walked into the classic metal pitfall- repetition. After years of strong thrash albums, they eventually grew redundant.

Goth point of view... LOL WUT?

Anyway, I've only heard their Black album (which I hear a lot of people lambasted for being a "sellout" album)
However, I might look into Master of Puppets at some point... but I'm not as big a metalhead as I used to be.

Metallica are okay. I sorta stopped listening to them, and I will admit that their albums from 1991 onwards do have a more commerical sound, ie. sounds like radio music. What does annoy me about their albums from before 1991 is that they're muffled. But that's about all.

They were good, then they made the black album and suddenly everybodies kid sister and their friends were listening to them as they went for a more mainstream sound.... it all went down hill from 'Justice for All' though.

Also can you change the name of 'Kill 'em all' to its original title of 'Metal up your a**'.

Some of their songs are great but others i can't stand.
They rock overall (except the Saint anger Album).
Most of my favorite songs are covers like "turn the page" and "whiskey in the jar"
