I love Yaoi-con. This will be my fifth year going. If anyone is going and wants to say hi, my badge name is JLowe and I will be sporting Saint Seiya and Aladdin pins (cause I'm weird like that). So far I have never won bishie bingo, never bought a bishie at auction but spent over 2K buying books from all of the vendors. I've met PL Nunn (I think I frightened her), and I am a big fan of Juxtapose (I think I buy every book they publish, cept I'm not a member of the website because my tastes tend to run a little more riske than what she writes). I always get to stock up on my Be Beautiful, Yaoi Press and DMP books that I've missed. And I really hope they have the bishie cafe again this year. Last year was a bit hectic, so hopefully they will have everything perfect for this year. And new hotel, w00t.

Sigh. I really can't wait. I have pictures of my costumes from previous cons on my myspace. Last year and this year I have not cosplayed because I went by myself. But next year for sure I am going to cosplay, hopefully. And two years ago was really nice because I got to meet Kodaka Kazuma-sensei and Higuri You-sensei (though I forgot to bring the book I wanted Kodaka-sensei to sign...it was the original Japanese version of 'Samurai Love', which I had randomly purchased the previous year). I also love the con because sometimes, if I'm lucky, I'll get to buy another volume of Zettai Reido.

I wish the con would bring in Tori Maia-sensei as a special guest. But I guess I have to convince Kitty Media (Media Blasters) to publish her work. They are the only company with the chutzpah to publish her beautiful works.

No. It's not like an R Rated Movie. Parental supervision will not get you access to the con. All attendees must be 18 or older, no exceptions. In the state of California, it's illegal to expose children to porn. Yaoi = porn, thus no one attending can be under the age of 18. It's illegal. It could shut down the entire con.
