Well, it seems that gaia has come up with something other than their own preferances for how to choose which guilds end up spotlighted, however I wonder if this shall go the way of the thread "Thumbs Up" and "thumbs down".
Let me elaborate a little bit. When the top rated thread list first came out it seemed to mostly be comprised of threads about bumping and generally less than well thought out topics. Giveaways were also frequently rated highly because... lets face it everyone likes to recieve a gift now and then. I wonder if the guilds will be subject to the same whims of "what can I get out of this guild" and have only guilds that give gold, or poll guilds end up being spotlighted since some of the human element of evaluation is going to be removed from the equation.
I'm curious how other people feel, or is this just another feature added to gaia that is going to not really be used, so much as just exist. Does this feel like a feature that was put together so people coudn't complain about the lack of updates, or do you feel this is a viable and useful addition to gaia?
