No death rock festivals in AZ make Ed a saaaaaad panda emo

But there is a festival called "Release the Bats" which goes on in CA... then again, I heard that they shut it down or something.

The only major festival in my area (that I know of) Is BlackSun Festival in New Haven, CT.

This year I was looking forward to going, until I found out that I'll be on a cruise that weekend. Voltaire, Unto Ashes, Black Tape For a Blue Girl, and The Birthday Massacre are all going to play there too... crying

If anyone is interested in going, it is on August 10th through the 12th. More info can be found here: http://www.blacksun-festival.com/

Hopefully I'll be there next year.

Some of the major gothic festivals in Europe, such as Wave Gotik Treffen and Whitby look like a blast, but alas, I am but a poor lass in the USA.

Ah well, I should be grateful. BlackSun is a pretty large scale event, and is only an hour and a half from my city! *can't wait until summer of 2008*

Hum.. Isnt that a "Dracula" festival? More a selebration to Bram Stocker, or am I totaly of the track?

Well, if you're into darkwave, there's Eccentrik fest and also WGW is pretty cool, too. (Is WGW still going on.......?)

oh, WGW=Whitby gothic Weekend
Also, if you just want to hang out, Anders manga will be headlining the Vampire Lestat Ball, though that isn't really a festival.... xd

No, Release the Bats is a festival in Longbeach which showcases current death rock bands.
However, I've never been there myself (it would cost a bit just to get there for me, anyway)... and I earlier confused it with the "Drop Dead Fest" by accident sweatdrop

Yeah, I know travelling there wouldn't be a problem, but there's the problem with getting enough money, and convincing my parents, and finding someone to travel with. gonk

Trust me, youll find friends.
Last year I went there with 3 friends, and I hardly did se them on the whole festivals. I found new friends on the buss down that I set up my camp with, and we had a really good time. Im longing to se them all again!

Going to Arvika then?

Yeah, but I'm only 16 so I don't think my parents'd let me travel on my own anyway.. confused
I really want to go to Arvika too, and my best friend actually is allowed to go but she doesn't want to, she doesn't think that there are any good band playing gonk Our tastes in music are very different so.. stare Meh, I'll just have to find friends who actually like good music lol

I'm gonna go there one year. The bands are great and the atmosphere seems fun. First I gotta make some new friends.
