Or, in particular, me. When we got our windows Vista months ago, I installed Maple on it. After about an hour of playing it lagged out and the ******** little Vista pop up showed its ugly little face and said Maplestory wasn't compatible with Vista. Since then, I've tried several times to delete and re-install Maple and I've asked fr help in the forums here. I even posted in the "Tech Support Thread" which is almost as lousy as our tech support from Quest. Which isn't saying much, but still. I have also tried to find help on other Maplestory forums, such as Sleepywood and BasilMarket, but they were no help. Big surprise.

And I know that some of you have tried to be helpful, and are probably just as tired of my bitching and complaining as I am. So, I decided to make my own thread for the few of us out there who play, or have tried to, on the Vista. In past threads where I have complained about my crappy vista, some said to go back to XP. If I could, I would have done so already. This is not the case. I am stuck with this Vista until something better comes along. People have also said to play with the resolution or graphics settings, or set up a second hard drive with XP on the computer. I am not this savvy with computers. If you suggest something like this, please, PLEASE explain it, or direct me somewhere that can.

So, I'm sorry if your patience with me has run out, I'm getting tired of myself too. But if someone could post something helpful, it would end the nightmare for all of us. Thank you, and good night.

Well I'm playing with vista on my laptop, at first it errored a lot but I hadn't registered my Vista yet. After I did, the errors lessened, but there may be a difference between pc's with vista as the home OS (Operating System) and pc's who are upgrading to vista from XP. The incompatibility message comes up for me but I still tell vista to run maple anyway and after that it gives me no other problems. After I leave maple on my own accord it does give me an occurring message saying that the display driver has stopped working and has recovered but other than that, I have no other issues.

I've gone to the Vista forums, SW forums, Basil forums and HiddenStreet forums and found them useless, just as you have. =/ Basically, sorry to say, but there's nothing else we vista users can do besides wait for game guard to make their software compatible with vista. The only option that does look like it would work is the one you mentioned about the second hard drive with xp installed as well. I would go to best buy and see if they could do that for you since you arn't that pc savy.

Try right-clicking Maplestory icon and click on the Compatibility tab and set the compatibility to Windows XP.

This method works. Thank you, iError!

What you do is, after you click on the MapleStory I con, you click on "Proporties" and then click on the "compatability" tab in the window that pops up.

I've heard people having so many problems with Vista... but I haven't had any real problems.

I get popup messages when I go to start up MS. One that lets me allow the program to run and then another that says that there are compatability issues, but I just press run anyways and it always works fine for me. confused

i got a new comp today and MS doesn't work on it....i hate vista.Bill Gates makes this kewl stuff then gives it to us,but then we have to figure it all out.But we have to wait for Nexon to make a ver. thats works with MS(i sent a message b4 x-mas.i had Vista then for the trial 6 month thing...they haven't said anything back)

all in short Vista sucks for now and later it will be great cuz everyone will have it working with everything else.

god dammit another 6months >.O
