Well, I think the title speaks for itself...
I'm looking for something with two things: Good art, and a decent story line.
Bada-bing, that's about it...
I've seen Loveless, Gravi, and Gakuen Heaven, so you don't need to include them. (Cause I KNOW someone was gonna mention Loveless and/or Gravitation first...It just works that way, for some unknown reason...It's like a Disney movie: Even though you've never seen it before, you KNOW there's gonna be orphans and/or dead parents...It just works out that way.)
Yeah, I'm not looking for something with graphic sex scenes, so keep that in mind...I don't wanna go download it and be like, "Oh...my...*dies of nosebleed*..." Yeah, that's kinda bad <<;;
So, yeah, if it DOES have sex in it WARN ME of what episode so I don't watch it and die...(How amazing would that be thought: "Young Freak here died of Yaoi Overdose... She shall never be absent in our teasing.")

Read or Die and Gungrave are pretty good. Of course I also like Fruits Basket, Sailor Moon (XDXD), and Gundam Wing (Seed is a bunch of BS). Elfen Leid was really good. I love that. <3 I know this is unrelated but there's also a J-Drama called One Missed Call. Pretty good but not anime.
I don't know much about the anime scene today. *shrugs* Naruto, One Piece, and that crap... eh... It doesn't do it for me. I'm not a big anime go-er though. I'm pretty old school. Big O. I forgot that one. And Reboot. XD I miss that one. Anyway, yeah, the first few are my top recomendations.

well if you want something funny/action/romance,may be you could try kyou kara maou xd its a story of a boy was flushed into another world and become the demon king and have a fiancee named wolfram von bielefeld whee or you could try for princess princess
if you want hillarious stories...try azumanga daioh or ouran high school host club xd

General Animes, I'd say Tenjo Tenge, D.N.Angel, Bleach, Yu Yu Hakusho...But as for Yaoi's well I'm more of a manga yaoi fan so I can't think of any dvd's but here's a good manga or two: Yellow, IL Gatto sul G, Only The Ring Finger Knows....And thats about it. Hope this helps.

Sukisyo is a good BL anime ^_^ Especially the OVA. hmm... what more... a lot of yaoi anime is from like the 80's so it's all sailor-moon colouring and I tend to dislike the art of it... ^^;;
Non-BL anime... you can try Tsubasa Chronicle and XXXHolic by CLAMP
And Negima! and Negima!? by Ken Akamatsu are good too ^^

well i love descendants of darkness, its a great anime. but i dont no if its shounen-ai, i think it is, but the tags just say horror.its cool though u sould watch it.

Papa to Kiss in the Dark is pretty good. It's really cute and doesn't have any sex scenes. Um...lemme think......Ai No Kusabi is really good, but it has a some sex in it, although they don't show anything.
