What are your thoughts on the Virginia Tech shooting? I'm not sure who did it or why, I just found out. I heard it was America's worst shooting ever. Do you have any loved ones there? Anyone you know? Or do you go there?

It was confirmed that there were 33 people. Whoever did this was inhuman; I can't imagine what the victim's families are going through.

Yeah, we heard about it in school at second period I think. How could a person do that? I mean, what could possess a person to make them want to shoot up a school? A student reporter at VT had his camera and was able to film during the second shooting. Our teacher turned on the tv in seventh period, and we watched the video. You could hear the gun shots and the screams of the students. It was heart breaking and horrifying.

Yeah, this stuff is awful. I work in a job where I am surrounded by death everyday, however this stuff still affects and traumatises me, particularly when it seems so random

I'm shocked, and it's terrible that so many people were hurt... but I think even ONE person dying in such a violent, senseless way is WAY TOO MANY. I'm sickened that the media is spewing all sorts of gory headlines instead of trying to figure out why it happened in the first place.
There have been so many school shootings. Hasn't it occurred to anyone that there's a serious cultural PROBLEM here? Why aren't social programs taking more steps to FIX it?
