Voyager's Legacy (a post-Voyager roleplay)

Using newly developed technology and the recent discovery of a massive stable wormhole, the United Federation of Planets has launched a project to explore the Delta Quadrant, which Voyager returned from almost ten years ago. Many are eager to expand the influence of the Federation and colonize in these widely alien region of space. However, Voyager's logs speak of several races which are not so friendly. Despite this fact, many ships are looking forward to exploring the unknown areas of the Delta Quadrant, and they are many!

Take command of your own Federation starship or join the crew of one that already exists...

Embrace the Federation's influence as a local native, and grow from their knowledge...

Fight the Federation expansion, either as a renegade, or one of the alien inhabitants of this vastly unexplored region.

2. No non-Star Trek races

4. Be realistic about your ship! (ie: no impenitrable shields, weapons that can destroy an entire planet, etc.)
5. Sorry, but Q is not allowed (that's considered god-moding)
6. No killing characters/destroying ships without consent from both parties.

Bio: parrents moved to a remote vulcan colony, but it was abandonned by the vulcan high command, and left because it was thaught to be destroyed after large ammount of borg activity was detected, once in the delta quadrant, as a borg, Balis 's borg shpere crashed landed on a remote barren planet, and dissconected from the hive mind, after a week or so, scavangers found the crashed ship, and salvaged many useable parts from the borg sphere, and were kind enoughf to deassimilate some of the surviving crew who were by then, had individual minds. after a few years, Balis was able to have all but one borg implant removed, with only minor scaring. "that one implant, if removed will cause death... its one at the base of the brain stem"

The U.S.S. Excalibur was escorting a science vessel through the wormhole leading to the Delta Quadrant. The vessel was on a mission to locate new possible energy sources, and was due to retire after that. When they reached the end of the wormhole, Captain Drake hailed the science vessel, "You're all clear. Would you like us to accompany you to the nearby star system?"
The captain of the science ship replied, "We'll manage from here, Captain Drake. Thank's for the escort. Although, you should probably stay with sensor range, just in case."
Damon nodded, "Gladly, Drake out." The view-screen of the bridge went blank, and Damon said, "Keep close tabs on that ship. We'll follow it to the planet and then back-track until we're almost out of sensor range. Once there, cloak the ship. I'll be in main engineering."
The crew of the Excalibur carried out their tasks well, but the ship was due to be upgraded. She was an old vessel, but she had seen much action, and her captain wanted to see her improved rather than retired.

As the Horus came about from the nebula, the bridge was quiet.
He and his crew had been examining and taking readings of the nebula for a few days now. It was a Y-class nebula, with high readings of isochronic energy. Something that had never been seen before by the Federation.
It was a great achievement for Captain Itsuko and his crew.
With their warp field stable and holding, the nebula wasn't giving them anymore trouble.

*inside the ship*

"Captain, we've gathered enough information to give Starfleet an extra 2 years worth of exploration already finished. I think we've done a good job!"
said ensign Torik.

The captain smiled and looked back. "At ease ensign... this parties coming to an end, don't worry."

Staring forward into the view screen, Captain Itsuko sighed. It has been a year since he'd left orbit of Earth. He and his crew had been expanding the maps and filling in the holes of the delta quadrant. Though they were just out on the beginning sections of this mysterious tundra... they were just getting their feet wet.

"Lt. Barto, take us away from from the nebula and put us away at warp 7, full impulse." the captain ordered.

"Aye captain, full impulse." Lt. Barto responded.

The Excaliber de-cloaked and came within com-range of the planet, hailing the science vessel. Its captain replied, "This planet's as useless as some of the Klingon planets minus eachother. We're going to break orbit and head back to the Alpha Quadrant. What about you?"
Drake replied, "No problem, we'll escort you. We picked up a single vessel, but it was just in sensor range, nothing to worry about. This ship's ready for some repairs and upgrades."
The captain said, "Thank you, sir, we'll..."
The tactical officer of the Excalibur interrupted, "Captain, I'm picking up a Caison ship. They are on an intercept course. Their going after the science vessel."
Drake reacted quickly, "Red alert, shields up, and ready a tractor beam. Captain, we'll hold them here while you return to the Alpha Quadrant, understood?"
The captain nodded, "We've just broke orbit, and our sensor's have picked up the vessel. We'll see you back at the station." Then, the view screen went blank. Drake said, "Don't charge weapons yet, let's see if we can end this before shots are exchanged."

Itsuko watched the view screen closely... they'd been traveling at full impulse for a few hours how. They were getting closer to the edge of the Delta Quadrant, to get within range of transmitting the data from the Y-Class Nebula to Starfleet.

"Captain... I'm detecting a Caison ship, 3 light years away sir. It's heading to a nearby planet within that vicinity." said ensign Torik urgently.

Itsuko stared more intently at the view-screen.
"Ensign, I want you to sta..." the captain began to speak.

The ensign cut the captain off in a panic. "CAPTAIN! The Caison ship is on an intercept course towards a Starfleet science vessel. The U.S.S. Excalibur is within range of the science vessel."

"Hail the Excalibur, we'll see if they want some help. Lt. Barto, maximum warp... I want to be there as fast as we can, " ordered the captain.

Balis was on the L'octhelb. Returning to the planet he had settled on after regaining his individuality.
his ship was returning from a diplomatic mission to a planet, whitch some factions have become too militaristic, and have become a threat to Balis's new homeworld if they allied against his homeworld.
the L'octhelb isn't a large ship. it's only a research vessel, with a crew of 27, minimal weapons, but high sheilding, high warp factor "9.955 for short periods" and long range scanner range of 5 light years.
"Captain", The voice came from BAlis's comm badge, whitch was on his table, in his quarters.
"yes helmsman s'ohrmal?" replied Balis.
"we're reading weapons fire, 1/4 light year off out port bow"
