I thought I would start a Negima thread where we can just talk a bout Negi related stuff. My fav. characters are Konoka, Yue, Chachamaru and Evangeline

to KurimusonChishio: yeah, i watch both. the older one is better in my opinion. i like the manga better then both tho. it goes into better depth with all the charecters, not just a small handfull.

I really do not recommend the first anime of Negima... I was drawn like a bee to a particularly juicy flower to the manga, and I still am, but I wasn't able to tolerate the quality of the first negima anime.. The second was ok though, so much better than the first in terms of animation and art quality, but the storyline is different altogether.

If you're given a chance to read manga or to watch the anime, pick the manga. You won't be disappointed. But then again, it is your call i suppose... so go ahead and experience both. If anything, you would be able to compare the anime and the manga for yourself.

My favorite characters are Setsuna and Takahata and I read the manga. I haven't had a chance to watch either of the anime series but from what I've been hearing, if I watch it, I should watch...the second?

I like the manga. My favorite characters are Negi, Setsuna, Yue, the girl who works in the library with hair on her face (forgot her name sweatdrop ), and the girl with the long black hair who hangs out with Asuna. I haven't read the manga for a while so i don't remember much of the names. 6^_^
