I'm not gay. Really. I'm not. There's just this ONE person of my gender who I think is hot...but I'm NOT gay... |

A law has just been signed into effect in Utah giving the government VERY tight control over what clubs may be formed in schools, what subjects students may discuss in those clubs, and what activities they may have. The REAL PURPOSE of this law is to stifle or even shut down clubs related to homosexuality.
If you're in Utah and they try to screw with your school clubs using this law, take a stand! Once the Mormon government gets a foothold on controlling your sexuality in school, they won't stop there. Next they'll try to move into your personal lives and then your bedrooms. It's exactly what they do with their members! (But they'd like to do it to everyone else, too.)
If you live in a particularly conservative, and fairly backwater, area, I would like to recommend a way to get AROUND any suppression of gay/lesbian school clubs. Form either a "Yaoi" or "Shounen-Ai" club. Explain to your naive Principal that "yaoi" is a form of Japanese comics and you would like to use it to encourage cultural discussion and education. If for some bizarre reason you're asked, "Is there anything gay about this club?" you can answer in all honesty, "Yaoi comics are written by straight women for straight women to read." Well, it IS true...enough... ninja I mean, c'mon. In most BL and yaoi, the guys insist that they AREN'T gay! Really, they aren't!! They just like this one hot man... rofl

The extent of my knowledge of Utah is that it and a select few other states are very different from the rest of the United States. My dad says that some things dont apply there. =0 What those 'some things' are, I really don't know. But I guess the spread of homosexual acceptance is one of them.
Good luck if you're there! This is really very wrong!

retice My dad says that some things dont apply there. =0 What those 'some things' are, I really don't know. Sanity and common sense, for the most part. But there are good people there and I hope they're able to do something about this.
