Halp me! D888 Je ne sais pas how to shade.



Aside from the face I have absolutely no knowledge of where to put shading on a body. @_@

first of all: you've got amazing lines, and the pose is good too.
well, when shading you got to keep some things in mind:
-be consequent when using your lightsource -> make sure the shading is the 'same' on all the parts of the body
-every part of the body can be build up with blocks and cilinders [like the arms/fingers] if you study shading on cilindrical objects, you can understand shading on the human body too


i hope i helped you a bit.. i'm far from being a pro, but i like to help people with my [little] knowledge biggrin

Exactly what joke-mus said biggrin just try to imagine where light will hit and where it'll be obstructed by other stuff :3... Sometimes it takes a bit of practice for it to come naturally O: but it'll come! *3*~~ Remember that light is.. er.. straight... Dx... so it doesn't bend around stuff but it DOES bounce off stuff D:

Can I ask where you envision your lightsource to be? Right now it seems everything has a shadow and none deeper than the others...It may work if the light is straight on...
