but all that is left is the hair...

does anyone know how to paint an effective looking blonde?

thanks

Two options, based on your skill level.

Option one (Simple): Basecoat of Sunburst Yellow, wait for it to dry, and brush either Yellow, Black, or Brown ink into the hair. You might try each, to get different shades of blond, and the ink fills the gaps between hair to make it look nice.

Option Two (hard): Base-coat black, and dry-brush different colors of yellow on to the black basecoat, leaving the spaces between the hair a darker color for texture. You can also try experimenting by having an orange or brown basecoat.

Yep, what he said are the two ways I know to paint hair.

basecoat of scorched brown (watered down)
followed by a mix of bleached bone and scorched brown (2:1 I'd say)
highlight (where needed) with bleached bone.

That's the recipe for dyed looking blond hair-- looks great IMHO.
