Whenever I mention that I like (meaning adore) MCR, i get a reaction like that
HAHHAHA MCR SUCKS SO MUCH OMG
EWWWWWWW THEY ARE THE SHITTIEST BAND IN TEH WORLD
and
i just.
don't. get. what so many people have against them :'D
MCR is a talented band.
I mean. I thought everyone could agree on that. And also, just because you don't like something doesn't mean they suck. u.u it's ridiculous. and I just don't understand.
but it hasn't stopped me scream

k the point of this was to ask if any of you guys have gotten reactions like that and WHYYYYY

I know it's sad but they don't really appriciate good music, they'd probaly go for Panic! At The Disco, and we all know how talented P!AD is. Their just jelous and good music speaks for itself.

but you know what's funny is when people say they hate MCR on,say,youtube they actually TAKE THE TIME TO SEARCH A MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE VIDEO AND COMMENT!!!!!!!! so even though they claim to hate mcr they care enough to search for mcr,even if it is just to say they suck and i find that HILARIOUS.

Yeah...I get that reaction to. I was talking to my Marching Band mates and said "Guess whos going to see the GREATESAT BAND on earth next Sunday?"
And Amelie just looked at me strangly and said, "What?"
So I said, "I'm going to see My Chemical Romance next sunday....!"
And she shook her head at me, "Why, they suck."
People are so )&*(^&%(&*^*....she even told me she liked the TCFSR album emo

<3 I`m proud to be an MCR fan.
I`ve got a little thing with a couple of my friends about whether AFI or MCR is better, of course I think MCR is better, but I like both of them. My friends say AFI is wayy better, they say MCR sounds horrible live etc etc.
They haven`t been to an MCR concert whee Hehe.
I`ll always stick up for our boys heart

i think any person that says someone sucks are retarded cuz come on try doing the stuff that they did to get to being big and yes ive gotten from some of my best friends "MCR! SUCKS" and im just like okay your a f*****t stfu or ill kick your a** cuz im like the biggest of most of my friends and i dont like people talking s**t about any artist no matter what band

I`ll always stick up for our boys heart If oyu think about it. No band ever sounds TERRIFIC at a Live Concert. THey may be great, but they just can't sound as good as normal. That is when you tell who really likes them and deal with a few missed notes. But I think MCR is good GREAT anytime. They have talent. Live and Recorded... heart

In my opinion, people who act like that just want to follow the crowd. MCR has such a different sound and presence and I think that for a lot of people, that it's a turn off. But I like that fact that they take risks and sound so different. It makes them... well, them.

Yes, I have gotten that many times before, and this is the only conclusion I have come to:
Most teenagers today rot their brains listening to rap music about sex and drugs and other illegal crap when really, the music THEY listen to, is the real crap.
Either that, or:
There are many preps out there that listen to pop songs, the kind that think that everything in the world is alright and that life is a shade of pink. Of course, MCR is completly the opposite of this. Most "OH MY GOD, YOU LISTEN TO THAT CRAP? EWWWW!" you get are from annoying good for nothing preps.
Of course, it is only the opinion of an angry fangirl [maybe even rant O.o]. I respect other people's choice of music and their likes and dislikes, but when it gets to insulting a band, well, things change.

i don`t have a problem with people disliking MCR with a ligitimate reason.
i mean if they`ve actually listened to the music,
and just truly don`t like it, thats fine.
but when people have never even listened to most of their music,
and just go with the flow and say they aren`t good,
thats when it makes me angry.
or when people say they `suck`.
even if you dislike the band, they don`t `suck.`
they have mucho talent.
in my old forum, there was a thread going around that said
`mcr suck, they have no talent and can`t even play their instruments`
WTF IS THIS?
AND WHY BOTHER POSTING THIS IN AN MCR FORUM?
I AGREE WITH RIKALESHAY,

I get that alot. Saying that, a fair few of the people who say that to me are people who's musical tastes I respect. So, funnily enough, it doesn't bother me nearly as much as hearing it from some douche who says it because MCR-bashing is the hot thing. In my opinion those people are a thousand times worse than the people who start spouting off how much they love a band because the big-wigs at MTV said they're awesome.
Saying that, they're more than often the same people.
I don't mind people who genuinely don't like them. If you genuinely don't like Gee's voice, think they're untalented, just don't like the way they sound. I have no issue with that, I'll respect your opinion, but don't expect me to agree with it.
On the other hand, I have no tolerance for people who base their opinions on something as inane as the top 10 list.
