how do you choose wich albums to buy when you go to the record store (yes i said albums and records...i'm old so sue me)
today i was looking for stuff to buy and i had the hardest time choosing between bauhaus, the casulaties, joy division, and nick cave sad
oh the delima..anyone else face these hard choices?
btw, i got the bauhaus and casulaties albums razz

I go to stores that have those Demo headphone things and amuse myself with them first. Or if I hear a few songs from a band that I end up liking, I'll pick their album up.

ketchakik miraridemon I have to order all my CDs. i may have to start doing that......the stores around here suck when it comes to having my music (where oh where are my Alien Sex Fiend, Throbbing Gristle, and Clan of Xymox albums) I have that same problem with at least 70% of the music I like gonk

thankfully i dont really have this issue, if my cd's arent in hmv or sunrise or whatever,i can ask them to order it for me if all else fails there are a butt load of stores that carry albums and stuff along with other goodies

I order my CD's online now. Not only can I find anything I want, it's also way cheaper.

Usually, I find out by Youtubing the band and then finding a good song. After a bit of looking around for what album it's on, I get it... other times, I ask a few people what they think of an album.
But since a good number of bands are hard to find in stores (alternative or otherwise), I either call up the store and ask if it's in stock, or order it online... but a problem with online is that you have to wait and pay for shipping sweatdrop
