Ok.....my mom does not like MCR...at all!!! And won't let me listen to any of their CD's except for I brought you my bullets but I do anyways.
I need hard fact articles...whatever to convince her My Chem is good....and that the Parental Advisory sticker on the front of the other three CD's does not mean that they'll turn me into.....whatever she thinks it'll turn me into.

well, I find the fact that IBYMB does not have a parental advisory sticker on it surprising. It has more curse words in it than the other cds do. YOu could tell this to your mother, and say that, since you're not a delinquent from listening to that, then you should be fine listening to the others.

Okay, so I don't know how much I can help you, but I'll try to find some good articles for you. Some are quite long and I can't remember what they all say, so if there isn't any kind of description next to the link, you'll have to read for yourself to make sure it's a positive article. my mom`s just realized the basic rule.
ME + MCR = HAPPY
ME + MCR = DEPRESSED
[ibymbybmyl probably doesn`t have one because it was on an indie label, and they don`t care..lol]
just tell her that MCR makes you happy.
and if she lets you listen to them, and you get depressed/angry, etc,
then she can take it away.

It took me two years of petitioning and them discovering that I got into one of the elite choirs at school singing Ghost Of You. It was at that point in time that they also discovered that I use it for therepudic reasons. (To cut a long story short my brother told them I have depression, which I do and wasn't planning to tell them... It's not bad though, just a mild case) and that I also use it for inspiration when it comes to writing. It was my Mom who ended up getting me The Black Parade, she now likes Famous Last Words which is the song I sung for the auditions to get into the same choir as last year. So all and all it's been pretty good in bringing them around to the dark side... Okay Dad still hates them but he only makes me turn them down or put headphones and since I haven't been fully able to sway mom I have to do the same for her but she's more tollerant and doesn't mind anymore it's now just on the odd occasion.

My mom, strangely, loves mcr. She knows all their songs, and ironically, her favorite is "mama". But my dad hates em, he heard "cemetery drive" and was like, "this song's about suicide, turn it off". Grr.

just...buy the CD...or is there some wierd rating thing in America that i don't get (i don't even understand you school grade system xD) Find out what music she was in to at your age...chances are her parents disapproved of that....
I really don't quite get why parents stop there kids listening to music or watching certain movies...maybe its just that my family is a freak show but they let me watch and listen and judge for myself...my mom even humours me about them...
Yeah try and find all weaknesses in her argument...make us proud soilder!

My parents don't mind My Chem. The only time they have to listen to them is in the car, and my mom gets annoyed because it's so loud and she can't concentrate on driving.....
So that's why my iPod is my lifeline.
So yeah, my parents don't mind them. neutral
As for you, has your mom ever listened to My Chem? If not than ask her to take a listen or whatever. She might start to like it. If she refuses, ask her what the big problem is.

when my mom found out i listened to MCR she said wtf! are u so obsessed with them their, just a stupid band that u will grow to hate ask u get older. i just ingored and said look MCR is god, they know what teenagers are going through, and she shut up about it
