I could not touch on musicals without touching on Opera. Opera is a beautiful wonderous, technically skilled thing that has been around since the Baroque Era, stretching into further popularity with the turn of the classical era, pretty much all opera of that time were sung in italian. Then all was to change with the movement of the romantic era, a wider range of ideas, stories and messages behind opera began and composers brought forth more of their own impression upon their operas and compositions using their own language, whether it was german, italian, french...and stories and history from their homelands. To sing opera is a very skilled talent, takes a lot of time and dedication. Now it's time for you to share and express your opinion love or hate. And if you are going to hate, hate within reason. I encourage you to express your favourite composer, opera, aria, piece whatever just go ahead and enjoy.

You know, I could never pick one single opera as ny favourite, wether it be De'fladamouse (spelling?), Don Giovani or Carmen.

They are all so moving and magical. I like it almost as much as the ballet...... That makes me sound so camp doesn't it? XD

Opera is very beautiful, I luff how it tells a story with every one. The first time I saw an opera show was in Fourth Grade. (everything happened in fourth grade XD) We went on a field trip, and I thought opera would be really stupid >.< But it turned out that I LUFF opera! ^_^ Yeah, I know, interesting story!

I haven't actually seen an opera (please don't hurt me), but I have heard songs from Operas, like "Dome Epais" from...Lakme, I think and "Give Me Your Hand, Zerlina" from Don Giovanni.
[On the subject of that last song, I have two things to say:
1) Don't you just LOVE Mozart? and
2) My future husband HAS to know that song.]

So...yeah
