Welcome to the APG, and I'm glad to see you joined. You'll find it pretty easy to make friends here, everybody's really chatty and friendly and I find the atmosphere quite lively.
However, if you're looking to introduce yourself, might I lead you to the guild's Introductions sub-forums? You'll find more response there and it's out of place in the main forums.
