Sorry if there has already been a post similiar to this, but I was just wondering, how many of you have seen any Goth bands live? (Or bands that are "Goth-ish", or somehow connected to the genre, like EBM.)
If you've seen any Goth bands live, which bands? When? &, how were they?
If you haven't seen any Goth bands live, which band would you want to see the most?
I saw The Sisters of Mercy last... March, I think. As always, it was a new line-up; the only two original members of The Sisters were Andrew Eldritch & Doktor Avalanche (the drum machine is most definitely a member!) The two other guys he picked up from somewhere or another that were performing with him as The Sisters were really, really good, though. Their set was suprisingly short (or perhaps time went ridiculously fast because I love them so much), but Eldritch was absolutely wonderful! Yes, he had only a very small amount of hair, & looked more like my older brother than the "typical Andrew Eldritch", but he still was wearing sunglasses the whole time, & always holding a cigarette (I think just for the image). He had so much energy! I did not expect him to be such a wonderful performer!
I also saw Bauhaus open for Nine Inch Nails this past summer. Unlike when I saw The Sisters, I saw Bauhaus at a big stadium were there were seats & gates & lots of security guards & such, so I couldn't see all that well (when I saw The Sisters, I was REALLY close). Peter Murphy does not seem to have changed one bit! He was awesome, & doing all these crazy dance-like things with the microphone stand. They ended their set with their cover of Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust", & they did an absolutely WONDERFUL job on that. Peter Murphy... also an EXCELLENT performer!

I caught Faith & The Muse a few years ago in Los Angeles. They put on a great show and did a great cover of a Kate Bush song I'm familiar with.
A few months ago I caught Bauhaus with NIN by San Jose. Bauhaus did quite well too. I was very happy with their performance that night. NIN covered a Bauhaus song and then Bauhaus came out and covered a NIN song and then they played together on another Bauhaus song. The only thing I didn't care for was the opening act, Peaches *shudder*

Apparently at the NIN concert up in Portland, Bauhaus was SUPPOSED to be the opening act. But they ended up not being for some reason.
So we got stuck with Peaches, too. gonk

I've seen a lot of bands live and I go to a bunch of big music fests, including Ozzfest, Warped Tour, and HFStival...
I dunno how gothy you want them, so I'll just start listing...
Cradle of Filth Deadstar Assembly AFI Bauhaus The Cruxshadows
s**t... I'm high right now, so I can't give you a large list... Most of the bands I've seen are in the big fests, so the sets were pretty small, though I have seen a few AFI shows before and they tend to be a favorite of mine.
