For me, they got me into Black Flag, and The Misfits (from the numerous mentions of their influence.) and The Dresden Dolls. (from an interview with Gerard.)
So....anything else?
EDIT: Ah yes, I'm such a ********. They also got me into AFI, Alkaline Trio, Smashing pumpkins and Joy Division.

Well, in a way they got me into a lot of the bands I like now. MCR was the first new band (previously I'd mostly been a classic rock person) that I enjoyed enough to go search out interviews and live versions of songs and eventually start talking to other fans about over the inter-webs. Through these other fans I found out about a whole load of good bands n' s**t.
So um... Yeah.

the used,obviously and i read an interveiw were gerard was talking about this band,the dredson dolls so i listened to them,they rock.and i've been tempted to listen to a lot of older stuff

They've completely influenced the music I listen too now. From them I moved on to Iron Maiden, The Used, Alexis On Fire sp?, Panic!, AFI, and so many others. They just brought me into this genre and I love it! xd

They've influenced it hugely. It ended up with me doing a massive overhaul on my CD collection. I still have some of all my old CDs but most of the new ones are MCR inspired ones.

From what I can remember I know they influenced me to listen to The Used. They also kinda got me into Alkaline Trio (I need to buy more of their albums). I started to like Taking Back Sunday also before MCR, but knowing that I was going to see them perform at the same concert as Taking Back Sunday gave me more motivation to go out and buy one of their albums.

Are you kidding!?!? Before MCR there was NOTHING! I was into Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears!
My Chem got me into a world where what you're wearing that day doesn't matter, changing the world does, and if the rock music you make does that, keep on rocking.
MCR changed my life, as they have for so many others, I was afraid to be what I wanted to be, to follow the sheep, but now I'm my own person.
I found out about The Used, Smashing Pumpkins, The Misfits, The Morriseys, The Smiths, IRON MAIDEN!, Taking Back Sunday, New London Fire, and more.
And from finding these ones I've moved on to so many more amazing kick a** bands!

Mainly they Got me into The Used,
But I started talking to/Befriending People that were Into My Chem and they Introduced me to Basicly all of my Favorite Bands.
So Yeah.
