I, am a very odd person. Those who know me, already know that. However, that means that most don't.
Well, I was thinking about adding one of my characters into one of the Rps, but then I realised sometihng; Would my character count as a yaoi character? If I was going to use one of my other characters, then I wouldn't have thought about it, but the particular one I was going to use.... (brace yourself)...
Is a pre-op Male-to-Female transexual. Told ya I was odd.
Now, she's pre-op, which means she still has all her man parts, but she DOES think of herself as a woman. So, which would it be? Also, what if a character was intersexed?
I appologies for changing the poll. I missed an option that was supposed to be in there, and I had to fix it.

Any views on the topic are wanted. Seriously.
Yes, this post is only to bump the thread up.

I figure, if it's two guys it's yaoi, and yaoi = razz

I don't know... If she thinks of herself as a woman I'd be inclined to say she wasn't a yaoi character - as presumably she sees any interaction between herself and a man as a "straight" encounter. But then again, I think it's the sort of thing you can look at either way. If you want her to a be a yaoi character, go for it! smile

Falafel25 I figure, if it's two guys it's yaoi, and yaoi = razz Yeah, but what defines what exactly a "guy" is? If you have a post-op man (meaning a Female-to-Male transexual), and he likes guys, does that count as Yaoi? What about if you have a pre-op female (Male-To-Female transexual), and she likes guys, is she counted as a Yaoi character?

I guess she would kind of could as a Yaoi character as she doesn't think that the interactions are true "straight" ones yet, since she still has her male plumbing, but once all that's gone...

*loves you*
Anyway, ^^;; I think that it can go either way only because of point of view. What I mean is that your character thinks of herself as a woman. So when she's in a relationship with a man, she'll think of it as a heterosexual relationship since to her, her p***s means nothing to her. It's who she is inside and all that. But the people around her (the other characters in your rp, or even the people playing) might consider her a man. If biological sex matters to them, then she's a homosexual no matter what her body looks like.
This is a very complex topic. So in the end, I think it depends on what you and the person you're playing with think. If biological sex doesn't matter, than she's straight. If it does, then she's homosexual. There's no easy answer for this.
Personally, I think it how the person feels that matters. If he feels like a woman, enough that he's going to have an op, then that's a woman. Period.

Howver, it all gets so confusing with these kinds of things. I once Rped with her with another character who I shall not name, and, no matter how much it upset her, still saw her as a male, and said so to her. Alot. Not a happy squirrel. By the way, I'm glad you love me, but I already have someone. xd
