After the Mermaid Princesses defeated Gaito and Mikeru, they were set to split up again. And this time they did. Two years have passed since peace returned to the kingdoms. New princesses have made appearances over time and they too are learning their roles. But just as they began to get the hang of things, a new water demon leader arose to ruin things. His name was Tazuma, and like Gaito, he too had many water demons fawning over him, doing whatever he asked.
Once again the Mermaid Princesses, new and old, must return to Japan to fight off this new evil.

Bio: She is the ruler of the Red Sea. Her kingdom has already been destroyed by Tazuma and the other water demons, and she has been slowly making her way to Japan. Sara was her best friend before she died and that's why she uses Return to the Sea as her song. Nicole loves being in the ocean more than being on land, mostly because she's not used to it.

Bio: Anglie is Princess of the Sea of Japan. Her sea was attack so she went to the surface to find other princesses of the oceans and the seas. Anglie is different from the others. She's never been human and is afraid to become human. She stays by the shores hidden from humans. Anglie has seen some of the other mermaids sometimes, but she's been to afraid to show herself.
