I couldn't find the anthem on this forum. I'm shocked.
1. God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us; God save the Queen!
2. O Lord our God arise, Scatter her enemies And make them fall; Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all!
3. Thy choicest gifts in store On her be pleased to pour; Long may she reign; May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice, God save the Queen! 4. Not in this land alone, But be God's mercies known, From shore to shore! Lord make the nations see, That men should brothers be, And form one family, The wide world over.
5. From every latent foe, From the assassins blow, God save the Queen! O'er her thine arm extend, For Britain's sake defend, Our mother, prince, and friend, God save the Queen!
6. Lord grant that Marshal Wade May by thy mighty aid Victory bring. May he sedition hush, And like a torrent rush, Rebellious Scots to crush. God save the King!

The last verse is an extension to the 17th Century version of God Save the King.

Eddie Izzard's was better...
"Oh god attack the queen, Send big dogs after her, That bite her bum, Let them chase after her, And rip her knickers off..."
It really is awful, I mine fine spirit and all that but gawd, it makes you want to crawl into a corner and die. The queen must get bloody bored of it.

verses 4–6 are omitted, not used, due to length and the rebellious Scots bit...

What's wrong with crushing the rebellious Scots? Or rebellious anyone, for that matter?
Diplomacy? Run out the gunboats!

So since I am a rebellious teenager, you would see no issue in crushing me?

Angilwingz So since I am a rebellious teenager, you would see no issue in crushing me? None whatsoever.
Besides, most rebellious teenagers spend their time crushing themselves emotionally anyway.
Mayhaps a new verse?
*can't be arsed to make one up*

I think it's crap and it makes me want to dethrone the monarchy to render it obselete. It's particularly humiliating in the context of international football matches when we're invariably up against a side with a better national anthem. We think singing it loudly and out of key with convince people we think it's good, but it's not and everybody knows it.

America: "Over the land of the free and the home of the brave!"
France: "Grab your weapons, citizens! Form up your batallions! Let us march! Let us march! May impure blood water our fields!"
China: "Arise, ye who refuse to be slaves."
Clearly, national anthems don't have to bear any relation to said nation. Indeed, it seems almost taboo..
