Band Logo

Our band has a few ideas on logos, but we want outside opinions.

The band is called All Else Fails and we play a sort of bluesy/grungy/metally rock with some emo and goth thrown in.

Here are a few ideas in various stages of development:

The first one doesn't seem hugely logoish but could be a good idea if it was edited slightly.
2nd and 3rd are good.
4th looks a bit like AFE but that might just be me.
The last one would need to be pulled together a bit more, at the moment its just 3 random letters/marks. And border of a background or something.

The first two are good, but they're a bit too complex for a logo. The third one I think is a bit too derivative, and last two just look shoddy. If you want some good ideas for a logo, I would suggest looking up websites which allow you to download fonts, there are some quite good things to be discovered.

Also, on a different note - is a long that makes you look like an 80s chat show a good idea or a bad idea? :S

The knife holding head is certainly cool but I don't like any of them aesthetically. You could make a good visual pun with the name. You know, "if all else fails" and a picture of someone dropping an anvil on a chav. Something more surreal like a plant with legs trying to get to a watering can. Something very simple- just a traffic light man style symbol of someone running with a solid font would work.

If you get the right idea first, you can condense it into a very simple logo.

The AEF ones don't show me what the letters mean, the shield looks like someone else's logo, they don't even look like they're in the right order.

None of these would spark any interest in your band for me.

It all sounds too complex. You want to be looking at something as small and simple as 200*200 pixels.

I love the gun. But for a logo...um...too picture-esque.

Maybe make it look more like a logo.

or...just write All else fails in some creative way or other.

Also...I really wanna hear some of your music!

This, I really did for myself. Cartoon robots.. I'm thinking, probably not the image you are going for.


This, I must confess, I rather like.

Haha. Apparently there's a band called "WHEN ALL ELSE FAILED" as well.. youtube told me so.

But I like ALL ELSE FAILS much better

I got the name wrong.

I was thinking "If all else fails...RUN!"

Or, "If all else fails, put your head between your legs and kiss your a** goodbye."

but All Else Fails sends out a different message to me. I would put that more on the internet speak/All your base kinda thing. I would put that with something more simple. Maybe a sword? Certainly a power symbol. Maybe even an alien saucer with a beam and the letters at the bottom of the beam.
