I think that TOS could have been the best series if it hadn't been so short lived. In the end, I know it's TNG. Like; have you ever seen a soap opera? I watch one episode of any given one every time I have writer's block. *Points and laughs* I really think that they are terrible, but the simple fact that they have been around for so long *Some of them 50 years or so* makes them rather an unobtanible glory. That's the sort of vibe that TNG had towards the end; it had been going on for long enough that there were some really deep plots that most people don't get. My spidey senses tell me that this is making no sense and going nowhere. You have to acnowledge the vital contribution that TNG has made to our little fund of warp info. This is still going nowhere... Ok, Data. I like it 'cause of sexy sexy dataman.

I like them generally,
but I think DS9 counts as my favourite,
because problems THERE don't get solved in one episode.

Plus, the writers don't get preachy like the ST:TNG writers tried to
do in imitation of a few of the best episodes of the original series.

Finally,
I honestly think the presence of a Nitpicker's Guild
(Phil Farrand and company) made the writers pay a bit more attention
to the little things that caused problems, even in the early episodes
of DS9.

So, we got little things like Odo regaining his shapeshifting ability,
and-if you're looking for it like I did the first time-
he left his Garak-tailored cloth uniform on the floor of the promenade
when he did so.
If you're not looking FOR it, you'll almost certainly miss it.

Also, the quick aside from Bashir when Sisko uses the Defiant's
cloak in the Alpha Quadrant despite the agreement that kept them using
the thing. The whole thing went quickly and the way it should.
Me, I was looking for the scene. As soon as Bashir said
"excuse me", I was already smiling.

DS9 is defenitely the best. I loved 'Doctor Bashir I presume' But I think they should have shown how the others reacted to finding out Bashir's secret.

Hands down I would definitely say DS9.

Its a shame, that series could have probably went further than any of the other series too, well thats just my opinion. Honestly its kind of stupid of them to had stopped it at season 7. They had at least one more season they could have gone with it.

I think the Star Trek Powers That Be randomly decided that each show would have a 7-year run. (Unless they were canceled, like Enterprise... sweatdrop ) I agree that DS9 totally could have had enough material to go another season or two, but I liked how it ended. It felt like a natural progression, and it didn't feel abrupt. I'm also glad it didn't go on to a point where it got bad because the actors just weren't into it anymore or the writers ran out of ideas or something. (X-Files was like that - it should have ended years before it did, and a really good show ended with a whimper instead of a bang)

Sorry! Rambling again... xp

I was debating between TNG and ENT. But I ended up on TNG because I feel it was written better with better characters over all and the set up was better. It was the one that also got be really drawn into the whole Star Trek scene in the first place so I naturally like it more:d lol.
