Post and discuss veg*n friendly menus and items you find at your favorite restaurants. Talk about what you liked and didn't like about the food. Share the restaurant recipes if you have them. Add anything else that might be related to this.

I like the convinience of going out to eat but not if the whole menu is meaty. Any time I go into town I will try to find vegetarian friendly places and then post what I find on here.
In an ad for Vocelli pizza they are selling a vegetarian panini! YUM! They also have some pretty yummy looking salads I would like to try.

I had to go to cracker barrel the other day with my boyfriend and his mom. That is the worst place I have been. There idea of a vegetable is mac and cheese, cornbread pudding, coleslaw. The only normal veggies were corn and green beans. The salads all have bacon bits and egg on them. There are no veggie meals on the menu. I eat fish sometimes so thats what I got with corn and greenbeans. I am sure you could get the salad without the stuff on it though. But whats the point you will just be eating iceburg lettuce.

When we are with his mom we usually get country food. At Logans you can get veggie skewers that are pretty good. They have huge mushrooms, green pepper, squash, tomatoe and onion.

Cosi is a good chain place to get a veg*n meal. Well, vegetarian, I don't think they cater to vegans. I like them because not only do they have little icons next to their certified vegetarian entrees on their menu, but you can also make a custom sandwich or salad with their long list of ingredients. I really like their Tomato, Basil, and Mozzerella melt :9

Red Robin lets you substitute a Boca burger patty on their burgers. You can also ask for no cheese or mayonaise. The Bonzai burger is awesome! (lettuce, tomato, terriyaki sauce, cheese, and grilled pineapple!)

Henbane, yeah, Cracker Barrel sucks for veg*ns. Its about as bad as a steakhouse XP

I don't know how many there are in the country, I only know of the one in Ithaca, NY, but Moosewood Restaurant is amazing! Its an almost all veg*n menu! And they have a TON of cookbooks on the market.

I went to Yale once (so NOT an metriculate-or) and they had this awesome "Cornercopia" cafe that had a 100% veggie or vegan-friendly menu. And it was all SOOOOO GOOD!!!

A dream for me is to open up a "Fast-food" resturant with a menu that is all Vegetarian! I am sick and tired of going to a resturant and having only the salad portion to order from, not to mention having to describe everything I want removed.

Also I've found that most oriental resturants have a fair amount of V-friendly options, espically Thai Food, which is chalk-full of Tofu! Not to mention tons of spices that taste wonderful and exotic!

I LOVE middle-eastern restuarants. There's this one place called Chickpea that has AWESOME falafel and hummus and pita bread and all that niceness. Nice and fairly sure it's vegan^^ But yeah. I live in NYC so cant complain

i was so excited when i went to redrobin and saw this on the menu; but i was quickly disappointed when i found out that the patty itself isn't vegan-it contains cheese.

my favorite places to go are definitely thai and indian restuarants. they have a lot of variety and at the thai places you can almost always substitute any meat in a dish with tofu.

if your in Atlanta look up Chinese Buddah, its 24 hour and has a huge vegan menu that includes (all fake of course but damn realistic in many cases) Shrimp, Squid, pork, chicken, lamb, beef, fish, and duck

also in Atlanta is Soul Veg (there are 2 in the city) a good place for vegan soul food (ive heard that there may be honey in the BBQ sauce) they have yummy fresh homemade vegan ice cream also....everything on the menu there is vegan

There's this one restaurant called Moe's and it's pretty cool. They serve southwestern dishes and you can substitute tofu for meat in pretty much everything! And they have lots of vegetarian meals, too. My favorite is the "Ugly Naked Man". XD Their dishes have really funky names. XD

I find most Japanese restaurants vegan friendly. Sure, they have lots of sea food, but you can get vegetarian sushi, and tempura, and other really tasty stuff with no animal products what-so-ever.
Middle Eastern restaurants are quite vegan friendly as well. They tend to have a lot of meat, but hummus and falafel might suit your fancy.

I found that a lot of Mexican restraunts have lots of meals that are vegetarian. I never have problems finding good meals at the ones around my place. Although it is much harder for vegans. Most of the meals have cheese.

That would be so awesome! I'd go there! 3nodding I'm sick of going to fast foods restaurants and having the only thing on the menu thats vegan or vegetarian being a fruit salad. We should be able to eat out at fast food restaurants without much hassle too!
