to keep motervated i've found that it's good to reward yourself.
so... i thought i'd create this thread so that people can set mini sub targets for themselves and then share with the rest of us what they rewarded themselves with. eg. clothes, jewelry, DVD's etc etc.

thought it might also be nice if people included a picture of what it was they rewarded themsleves with.

I started Weight Watchers on 9 March 2006. It's now the 2nd of April, and I'm down 10.8 pounds. My goal loss is 22 pounds, after which I'll reassess and decide whether I want/need to lose more.

Every week in WW, I've lost weight. Not much at a time, but it's been steady, so I'm very pleased. The first week, I bought a couple of new hats. Week two, some new shirts, which I've badly needed. Week three, new shoes for summertime -- adorable little strappy sandals with a kitten heel, and a pair of heeled mules, and a pair of harraches. Week four, I bought a new lip shine in a very pretty, delicate color.

I bought a few T-shirts with 3/4 length sleeves and high necklines (they cover the collarbones) in white, black, bright red, berry cream (pink/purple), and oyster (off-white).

To go over the tees and turtlenecks, I bought these blouses:

Skirts:

http://www.shukronline.com/wt1501.html
http://www.shukronline.com/wt2602.html -- in black
http://www.shukronline.com/wt1901.html -- in afani, khaki green, and violet
http://www.shukronline.com/wt1701.html -- in black, sand, and khaki green

And because I cover my hair, I bought hats and snoods as well to replace a few that had gotten really worn out:
http://modestworld.com/snood26.html -- in burgundy, khaki, navy, royal, and jeans
http://modestworld.com/hatc13.html -- in black, and a darker blue than the one shown (considering also the tan and the green)

And the shoes, I don't have pictures of, but trust me, they're hella cute. I know this looks like a LOT of shopping, and it was, but I hadn't been clothing shopping in close to five years. So, I kind of needed things to wear to work and not look like a hobo.

That's a great idea, but right now I'm saving for conventions so I shouldn't really be buying myself stuff. I do spend money out of each paycheck on my dolls but that's y'know only sorta for me. *L* Obviously it is for me but I'm going to have three dolls with a tiny wardrobe so I'm trying to build it up.

I know what you mean. I would have balked at spending that much and buying that much, except that it had been five years since I shopped for clothes. I work in a very casual office, but even my office isn't as casual as I was dressing; I had exactly two skirts, four (under)shirts, and four blouses to wear for an entire week, including weekends. That's just not enough, you know? Even doing laundry twice a week, I was always feeling like I had nothing to wear at all, which was pretty much true.

Also, my boss's wife is very... vocal when she approves of something, and (mostly) quiet when she doesn't. She's complimented every one of my coworkers on their attire, but never mentioned mine to my face, so I knew I wasn't dressing professionally. I was clean and very well groomed at all times, but the quality just wasn't there anymore. great clothes when they were new, but now they were just old and ratty. I really needed to buy new things, just so I'd look like I belonged in an office environment, if I wanted to keep working there.

It worked, too. Now, every day the boss's wife comments on how good I look. I no longer fear getting fired over looking like a dang charwoman.

i'm going on holiday at the end of the month and my goal is to be 7lbs down by then; i think the holiday itself is a reward! then i aim to lose a few pounds on holiday cos i'll be swimming everday at the hotel pool/beach, and i might try out running on the beach or summat. when i lose 15 pounds i might reward myself by getting rollerblades... i want to learn to rollerblade lol! and it would be a really fun way to work out. i think the most important thing of rewards is that they are non-food related.

I agree. It's a great idea. ^^
Plus, you don't have to reward yourself with anything expensive if you're saving or don't have a lot to spend. Just a day by yourself to relax and do some things you've been meaning to do or do some things you enjoy can be award enough.

My Recent Awards:
A couple weeks ago I bought a cute new pair of PJs and yesterday I spent the day relaxing and doing some things I've been needing to get done for a while but never had the time for. Although yesterday was more of an award for finishing my final college course, it still helped and made me feel better about myself, and thus got me out of my 'too stressed, must snack constantly' slump I was in.

My Goal:
My brother is getting married on July 8 (or maybe 9?) and I want weigh 104 lbs when I go there. I only have to lose 4 lbs to reach that - I just wished I could lose weight more easily...
