This thread is for official OOC changes involving Clans and Colonies.
Group Founders are responsible for maintaining their group's information, members, and overall management. If a Founder can no longer continue managing a group, this thread may be used to request a transfer, surrender, archive, or other changes.
This thread is NOT for:
⤷ IC Leader changes.
⤷ Promotions, ranks, or ceremonies.
⤷ Normal member updates.
These should be handled within the group's own thread.
✦ Management Policies
Founder Changes
⤷ Founder changes require staff approval before becoming official.
⤷ Voluntary transfers require confirmation from both the current and new Founder.
⤷ Surrendered groups may be transferred, archived, or retired depending on circumstances.
Inactive Groups
⤷ If a Founder becomes inactive or can no longer maintain a group, staff may step in to preserve, transfer, archive, or retire the group as needed.
Character Ownership
⤷ Group changes do not affect character ownership.
⤷ Characters remain with their owners unless otherwise stated.
IC Continuity
⤷ Founder changes do not automatically change the group's IC Leader, members, ranks, or history.
⤷ Any IC changes should occur through roleplay or the group's established systems.
✦ Inactive Groups
If a group becomes inactive, staff may contact the Founder to discuss its future.
Possible outcomes include:
⤷ Returning the group to activity.
⤷ Transferring ownership.
⤷ Placing the group into archive.
⤷ Retiring the group.

✦ Founder Changes
Founder changes may occur through:
Transfer
⤷ Another player takes over management of an existing group.
Surrender
⤷ The Founder gives the group back to staff without transferring it to another player.
Archive
⤷ The group is placed on hold due to inactivity or lack of current use.
Disband
⤷ The group is permanently retired and removed from active use.

✦ General Guidelines
⤷ The current Founder must request or approve any voluntary transfer.
⤷ New Founders must agree to take responsibility for the group.
⤷ Staff approval is required before ownership changes are finalized.
⤷ Groups may be archived rather than transferred if no suitable Founder is available.
⤷ Archived groups may be reopened in the future at staff discretion.
Founder changes do not automatically change:
⤷ The current IC Leader.
⤷ Group members.
⤷ Existing roleplay history.
⤷ Established lore or records.
Any IC changes should happen naturally through roleplay.
