Character info: Angel of Thursdays, Commander of/in the Heavenly Host. Seraphim and one of the warrior class of angels within Heaven. One of Michael's commanders, he has since learned to think for himself and has determined that some orders ought be questioned.
Age: 30-40 thousand (equivalent to 30-40 year old humans)
Class/species: Seraphim/Angel Warrior
Appearance: His human vessel is an unassuming, "ruffled" looking man of just under 6ft in height, with pale blue eyes and brown/dark blond hair. His features are soft and highly expressive of emotions, particularly painted with sympathy on the regular. This body, once belonging to a human named Jimmy Novak, is now his perfect vessel. He was, until Jimmy, prone to solely seeking female vessels.
Castiel's true form is said to be so large, and he so powerful, that he was on occasion mistaken for God by other angels in Heaven. His height reaches the same mortal size as the Empire State building, and his wings (an unusual dark colour seen only in Lucifer prior) have a span to match his stature. In his true form, he is made of pure light and sound, impossible for mortals to look at and capable of burning to cinders anything less holy than he or drowning it in his pure voice. Angels, after all, were not meant to be seen by humankind. His wings remain hidden, though he can project the shadow of them harmlessly out to minds of others to see them when desired.
Weapons: Castiel generally does not need any weapons but his Angel Blade (a manifestation of his essence) and his own naturally granted abilities. However, he is proficient with most all man-made weaponry prior to to 1999. He is not aware of how to use any new "space age" gadgetry, but can learn.
Skills/Abilities: Psychic powers such as touch-based telepathy (used only when permitted, as he must be granted permission to "enter" a person in any way) and general Empathy (which he does use at will, as it senses ambient emotional resonances; he uses this to "read" rooms and people). He is also able to speak to animals (which may be either telepathic or empathic). He is super strong (several degrees stronger than a werewolf, vampire or demons of most varieties) and can "fly" though it appears akin to teleportation. Theoretically, he is moving the world around him as he flies, rather than flying through the world (Re: explanations in the canon lore)... So he may also have some degree of space/environment altering abilities. Castiel can also call down Heavenly Fire to smite foes and his wing-beats are powerful enough to knock out electronics temporarily. He can heal wounds of almost any kind, and can resurrect the dead (so long as they have not been dead too long and their souls are still around). He can also carry souls out of Hell, as he did once for Dean Winchester.
((Depending on when the RP takes place Castiel may have all these powers at full, some of the powers may be ebbing, or he may be near mortality/no power - it says in the thread it's set just a bit after the last aired episode but the description is very old!! If we are set after the finale, Castiel would have full power once more and be working for/with Jack Kline, the Holy Sun/Son.))
