Apologies for the phone post! Let me know if you'd like anything edited. ^^

Some would have called it courtesy, or civility- neither of these really applied to Mictecath. When it came to the Weyr, to its fighting forces, she was the overworried, overbearing mother. Concerning herself with the ills and ailments of others gave her purpose and filled her with satisfaction- not unlike many of her golden kin. Fianth was a shining example of such kindness, and she knew Anakumath's were as pure as they were good.

/Alarasith, may I come and visit? I have food./ Mictecath's voice may have been soft and gentle, but there was no hesitation as she drew closer to the injured bronze and his healing space- the question was but a formality. Clutched within her talons were two wherries- not the plumpest, but they had looked healthy and energetic in life.

Blue-green eyes held hints of concerned yellow, though she did her best to conceal her worry beneath a veneer of affection. Alarasith was a good and considerate soul, and she didn't want to cause him any trouble.

His rider and the dragonhealer that had been fussing over him earlier would probably be having a fit if they saw the bronze now. Alarasith had been given a thorough coating of numbweed after a fresh application of redwort to keep any chance of infection at bay. Since taking that tangle of thread to his back right leg, about midcalf caught the worst of it with a few stray strands burned down toward his ankle joint and wrapped forward toward his shin, the whole recovery process of healing his newest, angriest threadscore to date had him resting and napping frequently to help expedite the early healing process. Currently, the worst of his pain numbed away and feeling restlessly awake after having slept for a good chunk of the morning away, he was actually up on his feet...Mostly three of them, but, by thunder, he was trying to work with all four of them! It was extremely slow going, but he was feeling mighty useless just laying around, so had the brilliant thought that trying to walk might help himself somehow. Use it or lose it? He'd heard that somewhere. Maybe it'd help keep it flexible? He'd seen and heard of instances of scarring being so severe that it significantly restricted the full range of motion for the damaged limb. He didn't want that.

Mictecath's voice reaching out to him made him pause midstride to stand stock still, his body tense for the space of a few breaths. Oop! He then sighed and relaxed at her words. 'Oh, that's very kind of you. Truly, I'd be honored to see you, Mictecath. I haven't gone far,' he responded equally softly, touched as he was that she was bringing something, though there was a slight note of hesitation with his admission of where he was. Indeed, his healing space was within a clear line of sight and, if he needed to go nestle back down, he could do so without too much fuss. He was being rather careful, treading lightly and pausing often. After all, he didn't want to risk accidentally overexerting himself and reopening his wound.

Alarasith remained where he stood, shifted in such a way that his bad leg wasn't currently bearing any weight, and looked skyward to watch the caring queen's descent. Her arrival shifted his eyes to a predominantly green shade, though there were still a few lingering tinges of the anxious, self-aggravated yellow-orange that they had been, as well as a subtle touch of lowkey pained grey. The numbweed was working a treat, but it still didn't take the full ache away from his injury. Being faced with such distinguished company, he'd put on a brave face for her.

Oh, how her hearts ached to see him so- desperate to try his best, to recover and land, so to speak, on all four feet after such a terrible injury. BUT WHAT WAS HE DOING NOT RESTING? A twinge of frustration surged, and she mastered the primal impulse to scold him like some errant weyrling. No, he was a grown dragon, and he had a sense of how best to handle himself. If he thought a gentle, three-legged walk would help his body, then she ought to trust his judgement. Still, as she landed before him, she took a moment to recompose herself. Yes, he was just trying his best. He was just trying to heal.

I am glad to see the healers are letting you move around now. Ever so tactful, as always, Mictecath spoke with a hint of wryness. Do you feel up to eating? She laid the wherries before him, before sidling over to sit beside the bronze. Her tail twined naturally about his, unwilling to hold herself back from physical affection. He would eat whether he liked it or not, under her watchful gaze, and then maybe she might go for a very leisurely walk with him.

Have they mentioned how long it might be until you are able to bear your full weight on it? Melancholy leaked into her musical mindvoice, now a low whisper. She didn’t want to worsen his day with her presence, but she needed to know how long it would be before he was well again… Some might call it interfering, or nosy, but her hearts would not be soothed until he was fine once more.
