She was better than this. Niika knew her feelings were illogical and petty and stupid and so many other things - but baby dragons had a way of stirring up long passed desires. Which was why she had excused herself from such happy happenings to rest in somewhere familiar and lacking in judgment. It wasn't the first time Niika had taken a reprieve from her brain's loping jumps back to places she'd been doing so well to keep them from going in the sevendays prior to this.

But as all things ended, feasting would soon begin and she would have to decide if she'd actually pull herself together enough to go and at least be a proper guest for A'zota who still cared enough to have her come and sit and see such events.

Surely, by the time he came to clean up and get ready she'd at least have bundled her thoughts up enough to do that.
