[PRP] A Borrowed Morning (Nisadee/Juhvek)

Nisadee was fairly certain this was the most comfortable bed she'd ever been in in her life. Large, plushly-appointed, and oh-so-soft - a far cry from what she had in the Barracks. There was plenty of room to stretch, if she'd wanted to, but it would have been rude to do so and disturb her partner, especially at such an early hour...so early it was still dark out, and would be for another candlemark or two, if she had to guess. There was enough light in the weyr at least to get a look at the young man she'd been quick to grab ahold of when Anakumath had gone up. She'd not been so far gone as to latch onto the first person who'd come within reach; Juhvek was passingly familiar in the way most Candidates were to each other, and she'd found him fairly agreeable when assigned to chores with him.

And he was handsome enough, in a freckly sort of way. It was a bit charming in its own way, she decided as she studied his face. There was no hurry to leave the weyr, even though it obviously belonged to someone - she knew exactly whose it was, and that they'd not be back until late morning. And that they'd not mind, besides. Might as well enjoy private space and a comfortable bed for awhile.

This was definitely not a bed he'd been in before.

Juhvek had been contently set to his chores just after lunch when the sweet, beckoning calls of one of High Reaches maiden queen's had rung out, ensnaring all who were within the caldera into a fairly normal frenzy. He'd long stopped fighting it when that lustful tugging came for his mind, but every time he couldn't help but wish they got a bit more warning.

He'd woken up in enough riders' beds that he'd have assumed he'd simply been caught up with another if the young woman curled up with him wasn't familiar in the way most candidates were at this point. Nisadee, he believed. Even if the name wasn't correct, the features were at least recognizable.

"Seems we've put someone out of their bed," he commented dryly, half lifting the bedding as if, with some dryly executed amusement, he was making sure there wasn't secretly a third person still sleeping in their bed with them.

"They were out of it already," Nisadee assured him, grinning when he made a show of looking under the covers to see if they had a third party yet beneath them. Now that he was awake, she took the opportunity to indulge in a stretch. "And I doubt they'll be back much before breakfast, either."

Flights were a hazy time, but she'd been at chores nearby, and had evidently had some amount of sense about her, if she could call it such, since she'd opted to duck into this particular weyr for privacy. Well, as long they were out and the linens replaced, she knew Anali wouldn't mind. If anything, she'd likely be amused.

Seemingly appeased by Nisadee's assurances, Juhvek dropped the blanket. Then, he ran a hand down his face in some attempt to rub the sleep from it. "Is breakfast the next meal? I feel like we hadn't even had lunch yet...." or had they just had lunch when Anakumath had launched herself up into the sky? He'd been set in his tasks and wouldn't have been surprised if he'd simply missed the entire meal for it.

"I'm always impressed that any lower cavern workers can keep about themselves to keep us all afloat when a gold rises."
